Just how many hits does it take to a Squidoo page per day/week/month/year to actually see ANY money? I don't have any lenses that are getting more than maybe 10/week, so I don't expect to see anything at all...Just curious if it is worth it to try to get some of those (not very good niches...) a bit higher and make a little bit of money.

Sometimes I wonder about Squidoo's analytics system. I have logged on to see my lenses have a total of say...50 hits for the week. I log back in a few hours later, and despite each lens showing 1 or 2 hits, it has only gone up to 51 hits total for all of the lenses. It doesn't update very fast (once or twice a day, perhaps), which I thought was the problem, but even the next day, it showed a grand total of maybe 5 hits, when it should have been more like 20.
Perhaps it is good for backlinks from your lens(es) to other sites...Squidoo pages seem to get indexed pretty quickly from what I've seen.

When making this post I am assuming that you are asking about getting paid by squidoo....
Your lensrank for each individual lens (as determined by squidoo) is what is important for getting paid by squidoo. The lower the better!
Any lensrank ranging from 5,000-20,000 will only make a few cents per month. Higher than 20,000 will make nothing.
Lensrank less than 5000 will make from a few dollars up to around 25 bucks per month. I have 4 lenses that earn me $100-$120 total a month on average from squidoo.
I have one lens that ranks around 500 and gets 1000 hits per day. 3 other lenses get from 150-200 hits per day and the lensrank varies from about 1000 to 1900.
If you can get around 100 hits a day consistently to your lens it should get your lensrank into the 5000 or less area were you can get paid a few bucks a month.
you can also add amazon and ebay modules to earn 50% of each sale from your lens.
I promote CB products and CPA thru my lenses so the 100 bucks a month is just a plus. But I have seen some users that through guesstimation I calculate that they make 2-3 thousand a month. Thats based on the number of published lenses they have and the lensrank of each.
Squidoo used to rank really well and some lenses still do for highly searched keywords. They are good for backlinks but if you start seeing some traffic coming from your lens I would suggest that you take the time to check it out and perhaps monetize it on that level as well.
Hopefully that answered your question if I understood it right. I am no squidoo expert but I do use them alot and may be able to answer some questions. I could also give tips on how to get lensrank up but I'm tired of typing now and this post has cut into my beer drinking.:drinking2

My best lens has had nearly 900 views this week and has earned basically nothing in advertising clicks. Its ranked 2000 something.
But i dont care about adsense clicks (i donate it to charity anyway). What I care about is people clicking on my clickbank links or links to my blog.
TIP: Unless your an absolute SEO ***** don't bother targetting keywords which have loads of lenses targetting them already. Instead find ones which have one or two maximum. when I started doing this i started seeing traffic.
this google query is the most useful thing i ever discovered about squidoo:
site:squidoo.com "keyword"
see how many lenses your KW has. remember google wont show more than 3 lenses on results page when people search the keyword your targeting.
