Blah just spent some time on the WF and geez those guys are so annoying!!!

Total SEO newbs against automation software. They are all about that "hand built" links and condemn any sort of automation even though they don't know what they are talking about.

I see guys asking how they can improve their rankings for super non-competitive keywords, and others responding they should invest in paid links or manually comment on quality blogs etc. when one Xrumer or AMR blast could get them to page 1.

/rant

:D

so true lmao. i was talking with some ppl at this clickbank masters confrence and they were on WF and all against xrumer and shit. NOOBS

Im one of those whitehatters, although not very annoying (I hope). I am not condemning anyone using black hat techniques, and I am actually thinking of taking a plunge into the black hatted world myself, that's why I am lurking around here ;)

Join the darkside :D

Sorry I was just on a rant because I was on this thread trying to help this guy who was trying to rank his website for like this dumb non-competitive 4 and 5 word keywords that get like 50 BROAD searches a month.

He was already ranking like on page 5 or 6 without doin anything for them, and all these newbs are talkin about hand building links for months and building "quality content" blah blah. Some guys were even telling him to use a link broker and he could maybe get some high PR links for $30-50 / month each.

Then I chimed in and said "Dude WTF, just do some link blasts"

Then all these "Experts" said crap like "Oh those worthless Xrumer links won't help you" and "Oh you're gonna be sorry when those webmasters report you to Google and your site gets banned"

I was like WTF ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!

LOL

Why does it have to be one or the other?

I consider myself a greyhatter. I use many elements of white hat and many elements of black hat because doing so suits me and works well for me.

I wasn't aware we needed to pick a side and declare war of the cyber nerds.

Thank God for stupid naive whitehatters, it means more money for us who don't condemn awesome blackhat techniques :)

These whitehatters are ruining my business condemning what I'm doing. I'm selling link-building at extreme overprice.. I buy it for $15 on fiverr and sell it for $85, but they are just killing me with their "it's so bad"-talk. But i've still managed to make aroun $450 over the last few weeks =) Nice pocket money

More than half of the people their dunno shit... they just make money by selling $7 ebooks to each other...

White Hatters are pretty funny with this 'Oh my god, this is evil! Don't use this software!'

BLACK HAT FOR THE WIN!

I must say that I somewhat agree with the WH people. I'm not against automation, but I am totally against idiots that don't know what they are doing because of which they fuck it all up for the ones that actually work hard to get to where they currently are. The fact that automation tools are widely available means that any idiot can purchase something and go nuke the fuck out of the tool without thinking about the consequences. It's not automation that fucks up workable methods and SEO in general, it's the mindless brains that use automation without having any sort of self-control, or should I say, common sense.

I don't mind if someone wants to do whitehat only for their sites thats fine. But I really hate that they condemn things like Automation etc. when they have NO IDEA what they talk about.

Like I don't attack people for doing white hat stuff, but I hate that when u even mention any sort of automation, you immediately get ten so called "experts" condescendingly saying how dumb you are and that your advice is horrible.

That is correct, but these white hatters are COMPLETELY against automation. They don't understand if wisely used by a skilled blackhatter, that the results can be amazing.

Of course if you're a moron you can Xrumer your butt right off Google, but to say that these automation tools don't work is just dumb.

I guess they can "hand build" their links to the top of their competitive niches where all the big boys are Xrumering away! lol

And God bless them for being inefficient and overpriced so that I can come and steal part of the danish market. They probably charge $60-70/hour (MINIMUM!! I saw a guy charge $120 for installing WP and some plug ins) for consultation and they worry so much about duplicate content (on their own sites) so much that they end up spending huge sums of money for nothing. DC is bad and should be avoided, but it's my impression it's less bad if it's on one's own site and that google will simply determine which page is more relevant. It's also the impression it gives on a page i found from google itself.

When everyone cheats, its not cheating anymore :D .... wish they understand this someday

The way I look at it is almost all SEO methods are blackhat. Even if you are building links manually and "by hand", you are still trying to circumvent the search engines algorithm. The only whitehat way to do SEO is for you to get links naturally. All the Goody Two Shoes over there need to shut their mouths and actually try to make some money. Mostly Amateurs and guys that look like child molesters over there.

Good point! This is, imho, very true. Different SEO methods are in general just different shades of grey.

exactly, that was the whole purpose of backlinks when it came into existence, sites voting for other sites.... well WF is a different world altogether...but to a certain extent I understand why those people are such hypocrites ...

Suppose a Noob lands up on WF... he gets amazed with the information overload.. he builds a site and is unable to rank... then he asks in the forums.. people make it sound like a hell of a task.. poor guy gets demoralized and makes a hasty decision and buys a WSO which says How I Made XX,XXX,XXX in 3 hours... he fails, then buys another WSO, then another.. and it goes on...

Its a totally commercial forum with ads all over the place and people selling all sort of crap

Hahahaha. That is a great theory. They spread their BS around in the forum so that they can sell more WSOs. That is great. I totally agree, that forum is worthless except once in a while I find a WSO that is actually good.

But on the other end of the issue, in many or most cases, a BH marketer knows what he is doing, is smart and not an idiot, and has tried it the WH way with proper manual traffic techniques, only to never see a dime. The problem with the WF-WHers is they don't acknowledge the fact that most of the 95% of people who do IM and fail are doing it the WH way, and competently, but it just isn't enough most of the time.

The WF crowd is pushing marketing failure and inflexibility on people, and calling anybody on the BH side who disagrees as "vandals." WH and BH SEO can indeed work together, if the WHers would crack their moralistic brains open just a little.
