I dont know enuf about pharm to tell you but... Can you get rich being a pharmacist? see in business you will always need SEO/marketing to make money. If you become an expert in seo/marketing you can market anything including pharmacy.. but if you are a pharmacist you will still need SEO/marketing expertise to be able to leverage your time for money. I say SEO.

dr. definately. does a dr have to sell anything? he says.. come back on tues. and you do it -- you dont question him. and if you want to market something... endorsed by a dr. is like having a celebrity endorsement....

Well since everyone keeps saying a "pharmacist that does SEO" and the question clearly states only one must be chosen...
I would do SEO.
I can easily run (as I do...) an online affiliate pharmacy, not knowing shit about any of the products, and still make the same amount of money or more that a pharmacist makes. You can't "scale up" a pharmaceutical job. You can scale up online pharmaceutical stores to your desire.

I'm wondering how much you have been following the new ObamaCare law and the effect it will have on those attending medical school.
Too many risks these days for malpractice and too much govt control on the type of service you can offer, to who, and how much you can charge. If you are OK with being broke for the next 10 years and in class, then it may be the way to go. But if you want to have freedom, SEO may be good.
You have to go with what you are good at. We do not know you and understand your talents.
