My team in Mumbai was hired to develop this game by a client/customer.

We had a monthly contract with him for this development job. For some reason he is undergoing financial troubles and is no longer willing to support/pay for the development of this game.

The game is basically a Competitor to Angry Birds. Its called Blazing buckets, where birds have been replaced by buckets.

The concept is very similar, but we have tried to keep it creatively as much different as possible so as to avoid any lawsuits.

As on date the lite version of the game is coded with 1 level of game play. The product plan has 30 levels in total for this release.

For this JV am not necessarily looking ONLY for funds as I have funds to fund the project. But I got ZERO experience with Marketing of Iphone apps nor do I understand the market a bit.

Iam looking for someone who has proper understanding of the IPhone games market and willing to invest an amount with me on this project to complete and put this up on the App Store and market this game hence forth.

I think the game has potential to grab some market share from Angry Birds and we can go viral at the App Store too, if you are into Iphone apps niche you will understand that when you see the attached video.

I shall give complete details to interested people who have funds to invest. I would also be upfront that this might be a risky proposition but again if this clicks the ROI will be way more compared to the risk.

I have a well laid out business plan and funds are not a problem basically.

Iam looking for more of a mentor than funds for this JV. I hope BHW has some of those Big App Store Kings and it would be a good opportunity to know them.

PS: My customer has allowed me to retain all the code and the game rights, except some artwork like logos and the Blazing Buckets name which he has copyrighted. We have arrived on a mutual decision on that, I will give all those details to the final JV partner anyways.

Are you leaning towards releasing it as a paid app or a free app with ads?

Iam planning to release the lite version for free and a paid upgrade to unlock levels.

Pretty much the same business model as angry birds.

Not to be offensive or anything but this is the worst gravity engine I have seen in my entire life. Seen far better in 4-10K javascript.

It uses Cocoa2D engine, one of the best out there.

And gravity has been programmed that way as per the product specs was drawn by the client.

So No offense taken :)

Thanks to you that you shared your valuable insight on it. I would improve the product based on the feedback I get on this forum.

Ok, Just had a review of the features again with my techs, the gravity is a variable and can change by few taps. You might know what a tap is, if you played angry birds ever, or any Iphone game for that matter. This video was recorded over a low gravity.

I hope it clears SEO20's confusion.

I don't think anyone will have patience for the pears being thrown that slow rofl.

@coderjeff that vid is also mine, uploaded using my personal youtube acct, and is way old.

question- how well do you think you will pull this off? i mean, angry birds is huge now and i mean huge, it's going on other platforms and also has its own 'tv show', and not only that, there's bunch of games coming out that are similar to angry birds

im just curious, if it was me, i wouldn't waste my time/money on this and think of something original/creativity that arent like other games

Not to be negative, but is it really worth it to invest time and money to create an app which is a clone of another app on the same platform? I mean if you have developers and money, you could invest in something more original, like there's lack of good business tycoon-like games on both android and iphone. Just sayin :)

Hehe indeed. I remember some game from about 2000 where you could build railroad and road and take stuff from place to another. there were ready made places and cities where you could buy and make busses to get people to work and such. Was awesome game

IMHO, this game cannot be labelled as a clone of Angry Birds per se.

That vid just displays it,so as to grab people's attention with the Angry Birds brand name and value.

If you have looked at the video you will find it nothing like Angry Birds.

However I will accept that the concept of the game is highly motivated by Angry Birds ofc.

But it dont have nothing in similarity so as it be called as a clone.

I think it's a good start at something and shows improvement from the original version, but I personally believe it is lacking something in the way of a 'fun' factor that would make it catch on.

For example, I like the little animated 'flame' characters during the intro and have a hunch that the game would be more popular if players were throwing flame trying to start something on fire.

you're right, i haven't looked at the video and just did now, here's what i think (i'm a big iphone games fan, i go on toucharcade everyday): when shooting, it's way too slow (although i see you said you'll change that) but i thought id say that, just way too slow and yeah fix the physic part of the game

here's an idea to make the game more 'original' the fire on the building, btw should be animated, should keep growing you'd have to keep shooting as fast as you can to stop them all, make it addictive, make it some kind of adrenaline releasing game where you feel like it's going too fast and you want to take them all out

maybe add something where when youve taken down more than 5 fire at the same time it gives you a special one-time bonus a bigger amount of water or something like that (sand maybe?) that would take down more than 7-8 fire at the same time (if they are close)

each level gets bigger fire/grows faster, if the building/whatever is full of fire you lose

dunno just couple of ideas that could make the game more fun and original and bet you'll get more sales this way

damn im stoned hopefully this post makes sense rofl (my english aint the best too)

Anyone old enough to remember Sierra Entertainment and their games? I'm thinking of "The Incredible Machine" series (for MS-DOS, 1992-95)

I'd love to see an iPhone or Android version of something similar to it. It was an addicting series and very well done for it's time.

yea i agree with seo on this 1.. i got bored after 10 seconds of watching your video... you need to re-think your concept.
