Publishing thousands of pages.

I came here requesting knowledge on how to go about publishing a site that I've built with upwards to 50,000 pages at the moment.

It became apparent to me that if I released this site with all 50,000 pages at once, that I'm sure it would throw a big G flag. Is this correct?

If so, how would I go about this without getting slapped by the big G backhand? I thought maybe writing a script that released a random number of pages per day (with a man-max range of course) would be the best solution, as well as creating random amounts of fake users to post this content with. But if I did that, how many sites should be safe?

Last week or so I'm thinking about the exact same thing. So far I have planned:
- first publish few articles on a new domain, get indexed
- then publish random number of articles every day(number probably can be increasing at the time)
- use multiple "authors" (i.e. in wordpress) so I would look real
- use multiple "categories" and tags from the same niche
- include some images and different css styling and things like that so your content wouldn't look like automatically generated.

You have nothing to worry about.


Publish those 50,000 pages at once, but be sure Google will not index them all unless you have a have decent structure and PR flowing correctly.


I'm assuming those 50,000 pages have dynamic content, so be sure that Google will see them as duplicate content.

Most of it would probably be considered as duplicate content, but it's displayed in a totally different fashion to make it unique. The thing is, each page will target a different keyword within the same niche, so I will need to index all of them.

So there are two schools of thought here. 50k pages is to much to publish at once and that it doesn't matter how many you publish at once.

For the people that believe not to publish to many at one time what is the max number of pages you can upload to a new site that is NOT wordpress?

Or if it isn't wordpress it doesn't matter?

releasing a ton of pages per day is a clear sign of spam or abusing the domain authority and you must refrain from that.

I've built several sites with 250k+ pages with very similar content and thin pages (address directories), and got them 70% indexed within days. No, I never got banned from Google; if Google doesn't like how fast you are rolling out pages, it will simply stop indexing them. So feel free to start rolling out those pages mate The trick is to get the pages indexed... and that trick I will keep to myself.

Trick? That's ridiculous talk, and I'm not worried about that at all. Thanks for sharing your experience with this, though.

Your main issue would not be how many pages to publish but how to get them indexed and how to deal with the duplicate content issue, especially after the recent update. My thinking would be to go natural and drip feed the content but if you have a professional looking website (or at least one that doesnt look spammy ), you could still get away with publishing large chunks at a time.

well , i recently published a site with about 50k pages , site is wordpress based cms
In last 2 months i have got like 7k pages indexed in google.I dont think its gonna raise flags , but the content which i hav on the site is good and unique(Dont ask how i get it its not manually written but passes copyscape.)

As far as sranking is concerned , I am trying to rank for a very competitive keyword , all my internal pages have anchor text pointing to my home page(No onsite for this page.)

Its been 2 months and i am in top 100 pages and as more and more rages are getting indexed my ranking is getting better.

I recetly started blasting with names and comments via scrapebox , which has fasten my indexing of urls.

Not sure why google would care how many pages you roll out? There is nothing blackhat about building a huge ass website. Trickling backlinks I understand the concern, but not for your own pages.

Thanks for your responses guys. I think I'm just going to publish all of it at once.

The site is 100% hand coded by me, and it is a unique design and very clean.

Of course I'll share it. Each page will be targeting 5-10 different keywords within the same niche. A lot of work it will be indeed!

As for monetization, I wont be throwing adsense on this site until I'm getting at least 500 uniques as day.
