Flippa is dead

These days flippa has become a great place to sell websites that generates $200-$600 per month, average sale price is over $2000.

Well you may have noticed that the turnkey sites have reduced! no more brand new sites being sold.....

yep it' so dead and so internet marketing. If you reading this right now logoff
and apply for McDonalds they are hiring.

I guess because the economy is in the tank that no one is buying Rolls Royces or Rolexes.

Flippa is from from dead. Still sell brand new sites no traffic, no rev at 600-700 a pop within 2-3 days.

Of course you have to offer value and not some generic web template and poorly written content.

You can find some good start up sites if you know how to tweak, market and flip in the future.

But, it amazes me how much wso junk sites are put up for sale making wild income and traffic claims. "$500 first week online. Need cash for big project. My loss - your gain!"

They always fail to mention it all came from running WSO and most people just see $$$ and get screwed.

There will always be a market for websites that have verifiable income.

I find that most "verifiable income" seems photoshopped
all these sites that are up for like 5 days and have already made $200 whether they have proof or not id still be a little sketched out about it lol

Flippa is dead, No way...

What they need to do is come up a system to filter out scam from value listing.

They are like going through what ebay went through years ago.

Just watch it, they will tighten their guideline soon

flippa is dead. serious webmasters/websites do not sell on there. I have tried to sell a website that made $8k per month, and not ONE single bid. The only thing that sells on that crap site is crap. sites that claim they make 100 bucks a month. Its full of poor people, the big investors are long gone.

Bullshit.

I sold about $400k in the last month on Flippa alone.

And 4 others in the 5 figure range...

I should have also mentioned sites that sell products or services, as apparently anyone on there does not want to actually do work (so advertisement or affilate sales are great).
Or for whatever reason I am hated and my site wont sell which is completely mind boggling as it was making like $8k a month and not 1 bid, easiest 'job' in the world. still wont sell so Im stuck with it or have to let it die as I dont want to do it anymore

You have to present yourself and your auction properly to attract the calibre of buyer you are after.

Send me some details if you want, might broker it for you if it checks out :)

Flippa is not dead, Just need to know what sell, when to sell and how to put it across, then it will be sold and then you made money

I think flippa is a rip off and too expensive. They guys who own it are making a freeking fortune so they don't need to charge such high ad posting fees PLUS, a success fee. I also don't like how they allow people to post negative comments about your site... after all you paid good money to sell your site on flippa so the last thing you need is people posting negative comments.

As a seller you can moderate the comments and delete any of them that you don't want on there.

However, if people are leaving you a bunch of negative comments, there's probably a reason for it. If I see someone blatantly lying about stats in their auction to make it seem like it's worth much more than it is, I'm going to post it in the comments too so other bidders will know and not lose a bunch of money.

The comment system is a good feature IMO. Most people won't just go around leaving you negative comments for no reason. Sure it may happen once in a while, but those you can just delete and move on.

flippa is definitely NOT dead. i can personally vouch for being a regular buyer. i bought 5 sites for a total of $1200 last week. they are all turn key type of sites and have no traffic though very promising in terms of attempting to grow and rank them. im new to flipping but my goal is to learn how to rank and grow them, make them moneymakers, then reflip them for profit. after this round of experimentation, i hope to start building my own sites and flipping them.

i have read all of Meathead's posts and they are hugely inspiring. anyone who says flippa or flipping websites in general is simply ignorant.
