How to make anybody think your'e a genuis without trying

I found so many useful things in my month being here that I felt like it was time for me to share one of my secrets..

This trick takes at most 30 minutes to learn with practice.

I wouldn't even dream of sharing this in the Mac forum, they already think they are smarter than they are

This is the trick where you can tell anybody what day of the week they were born on. All you need to know is their DOB and you have to memorize a few simple tables.

Here is the formula I use:

Month Code + Day + Year + ((Year/4)drop remainder) = x

Sundays are multiples of 7s

7,14,28,35,42,49,56,63,70,77,84,91,98,105,112,119,126

Month Codes

January 0 (in leap year 6) START FROM 0
February 3 (in leap year 2) F-E-B
March 3 M-A-R
April 6 T-A-X-D-A-Y
May 1 May Pole looks like
June 4 J-U-N-E
July 6 W-I-N-N-E-R
August 2 Back 2 school
September 5 L-A-B-O-R
October 0 B00000!
November 3 N-0-V
December 5 S-A-N-T-A


Day Codes

Sunday 0
Monday 1
Tuesday 2
Wednesday 3
Thursday 4
Friday 5
Saturday 6

EXAMPLES:

March 8, 82

3+8=11

11+82=93

93+20=113

113 is 1 day after Sunday(112) so Monday


March 20, 1950

3+20=23

23+50=83

83+12=95

95 is 4 days after Sunday(91) so Thursday

Here's an easy one to get started with, it's like metal exercise to keep your brain sharp.

If year is divisible by 4 then it's a leap year. So leap years are always even years. Each year dates move forward one day except for leap years when they move forward 2 days.

These tricks are really impressive to older people because they think all the young kids just use calculators and computers these days to solve problems. Or maybe it's the hot bank teller you want to impress. I can't tell you how much I've gained indirectly from these and a few other mathamagic tricks.

and BTW, you have to go back one day if your calculating the day for anything after 2000, so instead of monday on 2/1/2001 going by the formula, reduce one to get sunday.

actually if you are doing any date from 2000-2099 You have to add 6 to final number.

Then 2100-2199, you add 4
2200-2299, you add 2
2300-2399, you're back to not adding anything like the 1900s

so each century goes add 0, add 6, add 4, add 2, add, 0 add 6, etc. etc.

using that, the 1800s you would have to add 2 and the 1700s 4

i think it should stay here. it is something that would only be effective used in real life, for offline marketing. hence the memorizing the technique to make it effectible.

Believe me they will pull out their phone and check to see if your right. Myself personally I get the big bucks for landing programming jobs so who wouldn't give rainmain the job over somebody else. To make this come up naturally just ask to make a copy of their driver's license or something and casually mention that people born on a that day on their license are more likely to be overachievers or some BS line like that. If you can guess their age to within a few years you can already get a couple possible numbers ready in your head before you get their DOB.
