Promotion Strategy for a Non-english site

Hello

I read and read this forum and I like it alot. I am reading about what tools to use to ease my work but i am kind of confused of what is the strategy to promote a non-enlish site.

I read about web 2.0 properties, social bookmarking, article submiting and so on, but can I open accounts and post articles in the non-english language of my site to web 2.0 properties (except wordpress and blogspot which I know I can)? Can I submit non-english articles to article directories? Can I bookmark my site's posts and web 2.0 properties in the non-english language using social bookmarking sites?

What would be an optimal promotion strategy for a non-english site?
All I read up until now are strategies for english sites and I kind of have no idea what would be good for my site.

I cannot wait for enlighting answers.

I like to hear some feedback regarding this too because I have thought about doing some German websites. However, I think article marketing and backlinks don't have the same juice as they do on the more popular .com domains. I could be completely wrong, but I am trying to figure out how to promote .de domains.
 
1. Make sure when you for example add your site to webmaster tools that you have your site targetting the right country.
2. Make sure that in html the language is specified.
3. Make sure that you have backlinks also from the same country as the country you are targetting.

need more coffee to wake up but these are the 1st things which pop into my mind.
 
The strategy is the same. You just have to adapt it to your local market!
The problem is that most of the services and tool offered here, are not very useful.
You need to set up your own tools, if you like to dominate foreign markets!
I set up a Blog network for Germany for example. So I now can post my stuff on 500+ GERMAN free Blog sites, for example.

So if you are doing it here in German, the only way you can achieve anythings, is buying or developing your own software!
 
My site is one .ro (romanian) and one in romanian language but a .com, both hosted on a romanian hosting service which i know is very important, to be on a romanian IP address.

I have to add a meta language which I forgot, thanks.

So, only .ro or romanian sites back links are important..hmm..that means I am stuck to manual submission to romanian directories?

Scrapebox to scrape for romanian blogs and post

What other tool would be good for me?

MagicSubmitter i heard can be tought to submit to different site, can it be tought to post to directories? How can MagicSubmitter help me?

Any other ideas?

i do blog commenting on high-PR blogs both english and in my targeted country, which seem to work alright for not to competitive keywords. Would be interested if their is any article spinning software which can handle foreign languages, is there?
 
For me it is too big question, allways been curious but never heard anyone talking about. Maybe somebody know and can explain about language difference, if a BL from site with different language, is it ok in google eyes? or will it consider it as irrelevant,...?

to #2: where do you specify the language and country in a wordpress blog??
 
Please, provide some information regarding this matter. I do not know why no one with experience answer. I like this forum alot, but it seems sometimes ppl don't bother to answer.
 
The stategy itself is not much different. The question is whether only backlinks in the site language have value. I think they are aybe better, but not the only. So submitting to English directories is ggod too, but maybe mostly autoapproved directories will suit you. The same with article directories. Commenting blogs and forums is also ok on both your site language and English. If you know the language well you can try to find some good bases on it ( I can help with Russian ones)
As to the spinning software probably it depends on the language needed - Article clone easy is good for English and Russian articles, maybe somebody know more
