LOL, whatever you say....
Thinking that every single person who has ever smoked weed is a "do-nothing, self-absorbed, full of denial pothead" makes about as much sense as saying all black people steal or that all Mexicans cut grass. It's completely stupid and shows just how close-minded you are.
Being a dope head at one time doesn't make you a dope head forever, no more than taking a shower makes you permanently wet. Pot smokers are all - yes, all - self absorbed and lazy, and likely very unhappy with life or some portion of it. That's a generalization that holds.
Just as black people are black and mexicans are mexican. The rest of your half-baked analogy is as well connected to my statement as...Well, I don't want to tax you further.
There are plenty of people who smoke that are highly successful, productive with their time, and give back to those in need. That doesn't sound like a do-nothing, self-absorbed person to me.
Sure there are - typically in low intelligence professions like "starving" artists, actors, or musicians. Successful type A personalities prefer to be in constant control of themselves and their employees. One cannot be stoned and keep up the facade of full self control for the years it takes to build a successful business empire.
Another reason you sound like an idiot is because I've already expressed that I don't even smoke anymore, so why would I be defending it? It's not like I'm trying to justify what I'm doing or have some motive to defend people that smoke weed.
And yet...here you are doing exactly that.
Your response was disjointed and unnecessary. The point that doing drugs is often overlooked by "casual" users as a cause of medical concern is still valid.
Sometimes it just takes someone else pointing it out to bring it to light amid the haze.
Congrats on giving up the habit. I'm sure you're a healthier and more productive person for it. The next step is telling others of the pitfalls you encountered and letting them learn from your experience.
