If you type in a term from search, and go to the video, or watch it from a link on youtube, like featured, homepage, ect.. it will count, but not if you just go directly to the video, like copying and pasting from an email, ect..

Not true, just yesterday i watched my video directly and refreshed it a few times and my views went up by the exact amount of times i refreshed it, and yes my view count was above 300.Where exactly did u get this info about youtube changing their view count system from? Also assuming all of what your saying is true would adding "&feature=" to the youtube urls bypass youtube's new view count system?

They do this often and the no views count problem happen once every 1-2 months.

Framed traffic is banned since LONG TIME NOW, not a recent news.

I tried my self to direct visit some videos, mail visiting, and so on.. and views are counted, just wait...

Just realized it doesn't make sense for youtube to block all views that have no refer because of they did then they wouldn't add that unlisted feature they have cuz then vids set on unlisted would never get any views.

This is one of those typical "youtube having another brain fart" moments with the counts. This is nothing new.

Exactly. Killing the no link referral views would be the end of YouTube. View counts mean more $$$ because advertisers pay more to be placed next to a video with a high view count. If YouTube thinks by killing that count will not effect viral videos, they are mistaken. Try to find a golden nugget buried in a big pile of shit, and you have an idea of what it is like searching on YouTube for anything.

And if they killed those counts, it would be the end of viral videos, because they do make their start via emails, instant messaging, etc.

It would be suicide for YouTube to pull this sort of shit. But given the fact that they break shit constantly and introduce shit to people with a "learn to live with it" attitude, nothing would surprise me anymore.

Actually i think youtube has changed their system permanently and this isn't just some bug cause shit like this doesn't happen for days these bugs usually only last a few hours, at most a day but i've noticed a decline in views for about a week now.

Ok there man. Thats why EVERYONE is having this issue for 5+ days. Why would I lie about something like this when it hurts my business? Its a fact, that they have changed the system. Everyone will see in the next few days that I am right.

They will now be counting maybe 5% of no referrer views. Where, before they counted about 50%.
