Animoto Moola Method -easy $200 a day

Great share OP!! +rep and thanks. This is definitely going in my portfolio of offline business services. I bet you could get people to come to you if the right advertising venues were selected.

Are you keeping the 'animoto' branding part on the end of the videos?

What's stopping the customer from seeing that and going out to do it themselves?

I use the pro version which eliminates the animoto logo and gives you an automatic link at the end of the video, which comes in handy to take people to your sales page.... "Click here to learn more..." :)

Also, even if people know how to do stuff they would rather pay somebody else. Do you think the owner of a health club who's a body builder or his wife who runs the gym all day want to screw around with something like this?? Of course not!

And here's a bonus method :)

Go to the business, like a gym, and flip cam actual members giving testimonials in front of the gym. You don't think the gym owner would eat this up??? :)

Sorry, I just find it hard to believe, that someone went from jobless, to a couple hundred a DAY inside of a week, and she just walks away? What a dope!

Thanks!

Why is important for you to ask these questions?

It would be far more useful for you to actually implement this idea and let us know how YOUR experience was and what you learned.

That said, here's what you're selling AGAINST:

h00p://www.thevisibledentist.com/video-production.php

Custom video production is $2495.

Animoto video trailer which looks 10x "cooler" than hokey home made looking crap and only cost $495 or whatever?

Seriously, you don't see how you could crush this????

Great deflection!

So why am I asking? Because I am curious.

I mean you post this great post, that sounds like a pretty good plan.

So instead of just answering my questions, you send me to a site telling me that I have competition.

interesting....

Actually, what would be useful is to have questions answered. Otherwise why bother posting here at all?

Edit...on second thought, don't bother. Probably would not help anyone anyway.

Thanks

you need to get a pro license for each and every business that you do a video for. this makes it a bit harder to scale rapidly in the way suggested in this thread.

animoto is not stupid and they quickly realized the MASSIVE offline marketing potential for their videos. each business needs their own pro/commerical license in their name from animoto. its like $200 or so for a year. i'd recommend getting businesses that will need ongoing videos, and then just take your profits from the top after you've covered their licensing fees.

Not really. Try it. I've made dozens of videos and embedded them on dozens of domains without a peep from animoto. Worst case is you can download the videos. Pretty sure animoto isn't going to squawk about it.

And if they do, there's always flixtime. :)

Hey luiza, I'm pretty sure people appriciate you giving everyone on this board your idea as to how they can make some great money from this. But I do have one question though, I don't know if anyone has asked this yet in this thread, so I'll ask for my own curiosity.....

Why haven't YOU implemented this method yourself?

The reason I ask this is because, lately I've been seeing ALOT of "success" threads around here, of people sharing there recent success. Yet if you ask them what they did, most will "maybe" give you a general idea, but won't reveal there sites or traffic sources. (with good reason)

You however, you give us the whole cow. So my question is, once again:

Why have you not implemented this FIRST, instead of giving this to your "friend" to implement, and THEN come back, and THEN give us the details as to YOUR REAL EXPERIENCE, with feedback from selling door to door, examples of potential roadblocks, etc.etc.

Better yet, why not have this outsourced? Pay a couple of people to sell FOR YOU, while you take a chunk of the profit, if you want to be lazy?

What is the real reason for your charity?

Not attacking you, I think this is a great share. But these are some blaring questions that are in my head. Cause out of all the business people I know, noone give out a business plan that makes money first without trying it themselves. (unless they were trying to bring you in on the deal and eventually make you do all of the work, not talking about your case, just saying for the sake of the last sentence I just wrote.)

---oh shoot! I didn't see page two----Sorry!

While I am a newb, I've already started on this. I've made some mock up videos and my website is almost finished. Come Monday morning I'm calling local businesses.

The only thing that I have a question about is the fact that if I was doing the legit I would have to have a sellers license from animoto. On top of the 250 a year that they want for the license, you also have to pay 20 (I think) for each individual movie you sell.

Of course, I don't give a sh*t about that. And I can easily crop off the animoto logo at the end of the video, but will there be any repercussions down the road? I saw on another forum that someone thinks this is "risky" for that reason. They said that animoto videos are recognizable and maybe there's some tracker in the video.

Just wanted your thoughts. I also checked out flixtime. Seems pretty comparable, just not as pretty.

Would love feedback!

if tracking works as image tracking for stock photos, reversing them for example just cancel the tracking system.
Maybe if you revert the video there willl be a chance for it not to be trackable (but sometimes you just dont want to revert it if you have filmed text in it..)

Ah. Clever. One thing I could do for the text is add it afterwards through iMovie, in addition to re adding the audio. Thanks!

Man you hit the nail on the head here!

when you said "What your target market will pay for is all that matters. What you perceive as valuable is irrelevant. What your customer sees as valuable is all that matters."

This is key and has held me up many times.

I often think from my point of view, and because I can setup a website, autoblog, forum or make a quick nice video that ranks.

I often think that everyone can do this, and undervalue my skills.

Often leaving a lot of money on the table.

I can't stress enough that you have to stop thinking from your point of view. Most people don't hang out in black hat forums and are clueless.

Just provide them a service that is of value to THEM.

THanks for the insight! :)

You're limiting the possible results you are going to produce by thinking like yourself. What you would or wouldn't pay a penny for is TOTALLY irrelevant.

What you target market will pay for is all that matters. What you perceive as valuable is irrelevant. What your customer sees as valuable is all that matters.

And worse (and I AM busting your balls lol) is that your way of thinking is soooooo limiting. I don't care if 99.9% of the market doesn't buy something if the 0.1% does.

Nobody ever made money from the people who didn't buy. You want to narrow your target market, not broaden it, and do it in a way that's profitable.

So if you're idea is to make "quality" videos to make more people happy but it takes 10x longer and costs you so much money you have no profit, you're screwed and you have no business.

If you can make an animoto video in an hour and make $200 today from it from ONE person who wants it, you're golden.

Just thought I'd update everyone. In the past 24 hours I made a website, made 3 sample videos and have a list of 40 local gyms all of which I'm going to call monday. If you want to see the videos search gymvideoconcepts in youtube.

Only one of the videos is actually good. The first one I made I didn't include any text, and the last one I made I only made it from repurposed youtube videos. The result is kinda crappy, but I'm going to work on them and make them better before launch.

Let me know what you think!

BUT your competition does! In the online world, it is what contribute to the "competition" factor we deal with online. When the information is out there, you will have people trying the same thing at the same time, it inevitable. You can't deny that.

However, since this is an offline method, I don't think that would matter for something like this, since brick and mortor businesses require alot more "leg work" than online businesses.

To the guy whose doing this: Good luck man! Your videos are good. I use to do audio on commercials for film and tv (pays REALLY well, asks anyone who's ever landed a TV spot). If you want, hit me up and I'll give you a few pointers as I used to do this type of work on a much larger scale years ago when I worked at a production company full time. Good luck to you!

Excellent thread and eye opener although I may not implement due to my time constrains. REP GIVEN

Is there any competition for this money making method ?
Is this saturated ?

It can never be saturated because you're doing it locally and it's extremely easily to rank local SERPS.

-My 1st question hasnt replied : Is there any competition for this money making method ?
-What does SERPS mean ?
-If i can earn money, can i withdraw via paypal ?

1. Competition is LOCAL. Just google local companies and see if they have these movies
2. GOOGLE!!
3. You're going to be talking to local businesses. Do you get it? Check? Cash? Money order? Anything you want?!?!

in for the win... I can prolly make this happen.. and then outsource it... its even better then the 'girl with a digital camera taking pics for businesses to go online'... :shifty:

AWESOME!!!!

99% of success comes from taking action, not the strategy.

Now what you really need to do is map out the system you use for the sales process -make it a visual step by step flow chart.

Take notes on what works and what doesn't, but don't let the small sample size (40) fool you into thinking these initial results mean much long-term. Think in terms of conversion rates. 1/40 would be a nice target.

You have to test what works offline in sales just like you would online with ads and copy and stuff.... My guess is going to the gyms in person and developing rapport with the owners will raise your conversion rate 10x.

Now.... here's where it gets really good.....

You also have a menu of other services, like managing social network sites, posting videos to youtube, etc., and NOW LISTEN to what the prospects says!!!

ASK what they would LOVE to have more than anything for their business! Suggestion.... a lot of companies have customer lists but have no clue how to email or online market to their lists. My gym has a 10,000 member database and they don't even have a fan page.

Get in charge of their list!!!!!

Then show them how to make money from clickbank offers in their niche by selling to their own freakin' lists.

The video part is definitely a money maker, AND it's a foot in the door as well.

NOW FOR SOME EVIL BLACK HAT TWIST....

Get control of the business' list, say you'll manage their online mailings, postcards mailings, etc., and you use the list for whatever evil schemes you want.... I'm sure you can figure out the rest. :)
