Had A Real Life Realization/Wake Up Call

Stuff like that use to happen to me all the time, was just bad anxiety. Once I was able to convince myself that it was all in my head and nothing bad like a heart attack was going to happen, I was fine. Havnt had an attack in 2 years.

So I'll leave off with these few questions:

#1 - What's the craze everyone is into now a days?
When I was on here, it used to be Ewhoring, Autoblogging, selling WSOs, Bum Marketing (for some) and Xrumer was non-stop talked about.

#2 - I want to learn FULLY (not some half-assed guides) HTML,CSS,Java,PHP,SQL
Are the dummies series good guides?

I currently have:
For Dummies Flash Professional CS5 and Flash Catalyst CS5 for Dummies
For Dummies HTML xHTML and CSS for Dummies 7th Edition
For Dummies Php and MySQL for Dummies 4th Edition

I'll get ahold of the Java book/series after I have a strong grip on these. As long as the Dummies series/guides are good.

Successful internet marketers are not the ones who are wizzkids on all those computer programming things you mentioned. Successful internet marketers are the "organisers" who get people that already have those skills and got them to do the work for them (ie outsourcing)
Now i'm not a successful internet marketer yet but it's taken me a year and a half to realise i should be wasting my time learning css and php when i can hire a filipino who knows all about that for a couple of hours to do what i want him to do. It costs a few bucks but if i had done it by myself (like you seem to be hell bent on doing) it would have taken me months on end to do something which i could have paid $30 to do.

In summary, you need to think of ways to set up an online business NOW and let people that already have the skills you're talking about allpy those skills to your business. I used think like you, thinking i had to learn all these programming skills to set up an online business but then i realised i was only wasting my time and the prospect of making it big online drifting farther away from reality.

So buy internet marketing for dummies instead of php for dummies.

And don't be concerned about the "latest craze" in internet marketing. The reality is that what made alot of money 12 years ago still makes a lot of money now ...ie set up a website, put unique content on it. Attached a good quality ebook on it or other product like dvds or stuff. Nearly every millionare IM has done that. It's the foundation of IM. Don't be distracted by the latest craze product like "facebook wonder wizard" or "youtube blaster anailator". Stick to the baseleine of successful internet marketing not the latest fads.

in my opinion, an internet marketer should at least understand the codes and basic scripts in php, javacscript and so on.

ive been never in the situation that i thought i "wasted" my time trying to learn some basic coding.

in my eyes, understanding and writing "simple" code in the blackhat business is bare money.

Well, honestly I've looked through some of the "Dummies" guides and I don't like them.

30 pages of nonsense bullshit just to even get to the actual content of the guide. Most of the pages have a couple of paragraphs that have crazy spacing between the edge of the pages and the content, there's a lot of useless pictures, a lot and I mean A LOT of introductions.

Basically from the 100 pages I read, it just kept repeating what some things can do, and never really taught you any ground work or any useful information. Sure, the book's useful if you don't know what "HTML" means or what any of the abbreviations mean but if you're looking to actually learn things, I wouldn't exactly recommend Dummies guides.

I'll stick to W3Schools for my Web Dev needs.

Now I'm obviously not a doctor, but your symptoms, particularly the chest pains, might just be anxiety like a few others mentioned.

Several years ago I got done workin out, came home and showered, smoked a blunt, and started playin Halo 3 just like I did every day. So I'm sittin there playin and all of a sudden my heart started beating really fast, I was sweating, my throat felt really tight like it was getting harder to breathe, and I seriously thought I was about to have a heart attack.

I was freakin out so I went and laid down to see if it would go away, and after what seemed like a few hours, I started to relax and went to sleep. I woke up the next day and felt fine. My first thought was that I was over-stimulated because I used to take that nitric oxide shit before I worked out. So I stopped taking it.

The next day I followed the same routine except I didn't take the N.O. before my workout. I smoked a blunt, fired up Halo 3, and the rapid heartbeat came back again. At this point I thought it was the weed doin it to me, so I quit that for a while. I also made a Dr. appointment to get it checked out. They did their EKG test and what not and said I was fine and diagnosed me with anxiety and put me on Zoloft.

After those episodes, I started noticing sharp shooting pains in my chest and head every few days or so. Again, the doctors attributed these to the anxiety.

So to shorten this story up, to this day I still have the anxiety. The panic attacks aren't nearly as frequent as they used to be, but I do still get them and I notice the other weird pains in my chest and head too. When I take my Zoloft, most of it goes away.

Now while my symptoms are obviously a bit different than yours, I think it just goes to show that anxiety can definitely cause your body to do some weird things. At first I was convinced that the anxiety diagnosis was all bullshit and I had something serious wrong with me, but now I see that it probably was causing my problems after all.

Since it sounds like you're at a point in your life where you're really stressed out about a lot of things and you have a lot on your mind, I think it's possible that the stress is what's causing your symptoms.

Again, I'm not a doctor, but since I had (somewhat) similar issues myself, I figured I'd let you know that it might not be all that serious even though I'm sure it feels like it is.

I hope everything works out for you man. Definitely get your health fixed though before you stress out even more over IM because IM can be extremely frustrating at times.

Just be thankful you actually got your holy sh*t moment. Many of my friends are in their 30's and still don't get it. Mine hit when I was 25 (2 years ago). Before that I was just focused on getting laid, nothing else... Being a personal trainer at that time, it wasn't very hard to get laid.

My advice to get on the fast track. Get a job as a security guard where you can bring books and a laptop and no one will bother you. You will for sure want graveyard shift. It took me a few job interviews to find this kind of job. But, if you are persistent you will find one. This will allow you to study, get involved and completely submerged in IM and get paid while you are at it.

Though I read about 6 books in the duration of my security guard days I found you will only need two books and BHW. Below are the books.

1.) SEO optimization for dummies by peter kent
2.) Wordpress for dummies (get the current edition as there have been alot of upgrades to wordpress lately).

Hello man, I can totally relate to what you're saying. I'm your age too and , well, my main problem is crippling depression I'm on a cocktail of medicines just to keep going, I try my best to get as much done as I can. You're not the only one going through this. It can be kinda hard to see the success stories on here of people making hundreds or even thousands per day, it sure makes me feel like I'm cursed. I can use scrapebox up to an advanced level, I can mod xrumer again to a pretty advanced level, but I am still making $1 a day. When you add in server and hosting costs I'm actually losing money. I know I have to have patience as I am building an automated backlinking structure but it is taking so long and it's difficult to maintain motivation when there's no immediate reward.

Even though it's not wise to take advice from me, I will agree with some posts above, don't waste your time with advanced css html etc when you can just pay someone $20 on vworker to do a job for you.`As far as possible use wordpress for your sites as it will cost nothing in terms of time or effort to set up. Finally, You are not alone

Yeah, Atrial Fibrillation can cause clotting which will cause a stroke if it travels to the brain.

If you experience a lot of transient pains, or a lot of very short irregular heart beats then my advice would be to see a therapist.. they'll help you way more than any ER or Doctor period. Most doctors tend to ignore what patients say because they think they're too stressed/worried to think clearly and they only focus on one major symptom and ignore the others.

Hrm.. and it's scary to think about how many medical mistakes there are.

have you been on any medications or recreational drugs before the symptoms have started?
Obv. this is a bhw forum not a medical forum, but I would ask your doctor for some sort of beta blocker. It basically is an antagonistic for blocking any kind of sympathetic nervous system responses which you are saying are in your symptoms such as fast heart rate, chest pains, muscle twitches (very common).

Surprise, surprise - Dope can cause those symptoms too. I know it's uber cool to be a do-nothing self-absorbed full of denial pothead now but maybe, just maybe it's not the best thing in the world to suck smoke into your lungs, particularly if you're seeing symptoms that are classically associated with long term marijuana use.

Top that off with the common occurrence of lacing dirt-pot with formaldehyde, arsenic, pcp, and lots of other "fun" items to increase the high and sell crap weed as high quality stuff and you've got a recipe for health problems.

Yeah, I'm uncool. But I'm a realist.

Why do you want to learn all that stuff?

All one needs to know for IM is html/css and that's something a monkey can code.

Start making money and then pay someone to code what you need.

this is the same as: which came first, the chicken or the egg? my first money on the net was 10 years ago, I learned to code first, and sold a software on the internet...

It is good to know how to code, because if I start some new project, I am planning and doing it myself, and outsource some stuff if i want to scale it up.

about your health: I got these chest pain for over a year, every single day I thought I was dying... no doctor could tell me what it was, I was healthy in their eyes. I bought me a bicycle and started to move, after a while the pains were gone... moderate sport is always good for us, so try to move. go for a 30 minute walk every day (walk, not jogging). And try also to meditate.

I've made over 6 figures , and got tied up with college , and now I miss the bucks $ and am beating up myself everyday for being so stupid to put off IM for college . It's not easy getting back in , I'm heaving a headache myself even though I made huge bucks before .

Right now , I'm starting to do well in the Facebook + CPA offers industry ( no where near what I used to make in CL though ) maybe you can check the sector out .

First off, stereotyping everyone that smokes weed as a "do-nothing, self-absorbed, full of denial pothead" is ridiculous. All types of people smoke and not all of them are as you're trying to describe.

Second, I don't smoke anymore after it started giving me anxiety all the time. I realize the shit ain't good for you so I don't do it.

I was just telling him the story so he could see that maybe the problems he's having are the result of something else like anxiety and panic attacks.

Um...Yeah, they are. But you're performing a great service for the denial clause.
:)

I'm new here and was in your shoes a few years ago. I will probably get a lot of slack for my response, but coming from someone that is a few years your elder and started and ran a mufti million dollar internet marketing company I can speak from experience.

My advice -

Enjoy your life where it is at. Money doesn't bring all the happiness everyone thinks it does. I would trade my life with the fancy cars, and nice condos for the days when I was 23 sitting around enjoying my free time and playing video games. I'm sure everyone has different experiences with making money, but mine has been it's fun and exciting, but in the end all you want is freedom, freetime. The more money you make the more responsibility and problems you end up having. My experience has been making lots of money has not brought me the time, fun and freedom I thought it would. I was happier and enjoying life more when I had was making less money, had more time and freedom to do the things I wanted.

I know there is always two sides to things, and being broke is never fun, but the grass is always greener on the other side. Enjoy your free time and don't be hard on yourself. You're only young once!

Just my two cents

LOL, whatever you say....

Thinking that every single person who has ever smoked weed is a "do-nothing, self-absorbed, full of denial pothead" makes about as much sense as saying all black people steal or that all Mexicans cut grass. It's completely stupid and shows just how close-minded you are.

There are plenty of people who smoke that are highly successful, productive with their time, and give back to those in need. That doesn't sound like a do-nothing, self-absorbed person to me.

I also find it funny that this is coming from someone named CottonMouth...

Another reason you sound like an idiot is because I've already expressed that I don't even smoke anymore, so why would I be defending it? It's not like I'm trying to justify what I'm doing or have some motive to defend people that smoke weed.
