Hello Black Hatters

Not been around for ages (sorry about that!)

Desperately need some help finding a SERP Scraper I always used Scrape Genius, but it makes my NOD go nuts and now I urgently need something else ASAP. I looked around and cant find much :-(

Please help. Scrape Genius used to always do the trick happy with that or command line equivilent. I never needed ScrapeBox, always just needed the basics for link research.

I've been using sescout and it works rather well. It is free up to some websites (don't know how many).

Sometimes it tracks the keywords way below the ranking, but as it update every hour, after a while it is showing the right position.

Many thanks it looks like a rankings tool though.

I need something I can put multiple advanced search operators into like:

KW + "guest articles"
KW + "directories" etc.

Then extract a CSV / TXT of all the domains for research. Exactly like Scrape Genius, but it freaks my NOD AV and I am @ work.

@ work meaning you need a password to configure NOD? If not, just add it to the exclusions list.

Thanks for the NOD advice. IT Dept not happy about this option.

Would love an alternative if possible. May have to look at PHP scripts + WAMP etc.

I am really suprised there isnt anything else around.

Thanks for the recommendation.

I have looked and cant find it looking for either scrapegoo or scrape.

Any help finding the post would be really appreciated.

I ideally just need to scrape B1ng / G00gle / Yah00 rather than blog types etc. not sure if this is possible.

Sorry, I haven't made the post yet, I'm currently debugging it finding out why it won't run on different platforms. I'll link you here when I post it.

Cheers,

Alternatively, take a look at Virtual PC 2007 from MS or vmware player from, well, VMware (both are free). They allow you to have a standalone windows inside your OS and whatever you do in that second Windows will not be detected by the real windows, including antivirus software etc.

You can use Scrape Genius or whatever there and NOD won't have a clue.

An added bonus is that you won't be leaving any history records of your activities if you decide to not save any changes when you close the virtual OS.

As long as you are transferring only text or csv files, there is also no danger of getting a virus onto your main OS.

Here's a video illustrating the concept:

Many thanks I will use virtual machine if I get desperate.

I might try and get one coded.

Thanks for the heads up about ScrapeGoo too - looks interesting.

Hi captchaman, would you be able to link it from this thread when you have finished it and uploaded, looks like an excellent tool.

I'm currently using a tool from this site which is free, but very basic (no proxy support, no pagerank checker, and only has a few built in blog strings)..

(just realised cant post links yet!!!! free url harvester .com )

Thanks for the free URL harvester, looks like it might be enough to get me by,

Will look at it tomorrow.

Does it allow multiple footprints per run? Can I add 10 for example and leave running.

Screens look like they only take one.

1 footprint per run but it does give upto 1000 results which is good. No PR checker, ******** checker or anything like that, just a simple scraping tool.

I did notice it doesn't work with a particular command, i think its either intitle: inurl: or something similar it doesn't work with, but if you do typical searches like "keyword"+"commentluv" etc all works good

I am sad I get a lot of warnings with this software :-(
