What's the difference between PR1 and PR4? I always though PR1 was better, but I don't know.

the difference between pr1 and pr4 is pr-3

the difference between pr4 and pr1 would be pr3.

/lolz

After doing a lot of calculations I've reached the answer... here is how I calculated it:

PR4 - PR1 = 3

so the difference is 3

Dumbasses.
Help a newb out.
The PR (PageRank (TM)) from google is a scale form N/A to 10. The more the better.
A new page will always have PR N/A (Not Available) After a while it might get a PR 0, and then slowly if everything goes right, it will go UP.
More= Better when it comes to PR.
Facebook and Google have PR 10.
Youtube has 9
BHW has 4
A shitty ass MFA site will have 0..
you get it?

Yea let's help him out, or he fukin use g))gle...i guess we should help him out

OP GTFO

PageRank is an algorithm created larry page..that now goo*** uses to calculate the precedence of a site to another...the higher the better...
the number between 0-10 (pr0-pr10) is an approximated version of pagerank score created for website developers to get an idea of where their website stands

I tried google but all I found was info on page rank instead of the difference between the numbers. Thanks to who all helped.

Dude ... if you want to be a genuine participant on the forum and you found an answer that helped you, hit the thanks button. One click to show I appreciate you helping me out ...

Two people thanked the guy for that answer... and you are not one of them. Fail ...

My 2 cents worth is an expansion on atehleb's answer. To confuse the situation there are 2 page rank measurements and they are both relevant to G. The first is page rank. And as identified here, it is an alg for rank pages as created by Larry Page. It is a complex number that is dynamically updated, but is private measurement. Publicly, this is represented as the Tool Bar page rank (because it shows up in your tool bar) which is a 0 to 10 scale. It use to be updated every 3 or 4 months, but this has pushed out to once a year.

Bottom line, tool bar page rank is just there to yank your chain these days though I am sure my colleagues will respectively disagree with my tongue in cheek statement.
