Okay so:

1. Linkpushing as a service HASN'T BEEN HACKED and it's working like always

2. Everybody who uses skype to contact Greg, DON'T!!! Use email instead

3. Everyone who's having doubts about what happened: He's BHW and skype credentials got hacked and he, with the help of the staff are working on it to get it fixed.

4. There has been NO breach on the LinkPushing servers whatsoever and all the info is safe and sound, only bhw and skype were affected because the same password was used on these 2.

5. Most of the things you will see posted by "BassTrackerBoats" are BOGUS until further notice.

Greg wants to thank you for your understanding and appologize for this inconviniences. He's a good guy to work with, and a very good friend.

Any questions or doubts please ask here before making a wrong assumption....

might be a good idea to give some kind of bonus or comp package to the users whose private info was leaked.

i emailed Greg and do understand that this can happen but it really is tricky and sensitive stuff. It sucks when this happens to such a good service.

Greg always more than makes up for little mistakes, I wouldn't put it past him to offer some free link pushes because some ass hat decided to wreak havoc on his threads.

I've been talking to him this morning, he's working hard as usual.

let this be a lesson, NEVER use universal password, ALWAYS use different password on EVERY account, pain in the ass yes but it's worth it, you won't have to go through this shit with some dumb scriptkiddie noob like BTB has

Is this some competitor on bhw who hacked his skype and bhwuserid?

Thanks for the tip. I had stumbled on a thread from him yesterday that seemed a little fishy. Can we rely on you, a mod, or someone with known good credentials to fill us in on the details until he gets back up and running as normal? Thanks in advance

If I count on having good credentials, then I can confirm the OP is true.

Greg's account was indeed hacked (Skype + BHW) and he is working with BigBuddy to get everything sorted.

Ignore any other rumours for now. Greg's a straight up guy so he'll explain everything fully when his account is back to normal.

I second this. Greg guy. not sure why the hell people feel the need to hack the good guys, but let it be know that whomever it was, should
stop trying to get something for nothing.

not much else to say, i agree with the accelerator_dd and meathead1234 here

Is he really discontinuing the Linkpushing service or was it just the hacker?

oddly enough...from what gathered chatting with the real Greg, the hadkers didnt touch any of the accounts or anything. So it seems they didnt even do it to get free stufff...It seems in line with a purist hacker mentality that they just did it because they could.

No he's not discontinuing the service, it was the hacker that said that. I talked to Greg this morning and I checked my account and it's processing my articles as we speak.

It's nice to know that everything is still good on the service end, but I hate that things like this have to happen to good people. It's a hassle all the way around for all parties involved! I'm sure BTB will come out of this stronger than before from the way that the community has responded thus far. It's a shame that there's people out there willing to go to these lengths!

That being said, I also purchased a fingerprint reader to manage passwords. Within the software, you can change the length of the password being used and the algorithm it uses to generate the key. This has saved me a ton of time.

lol see what i mean, dude's such a noob he can't do anything impressive, grabbing the data from such a simple SQL injection, wow that's hardcore man rofl

:)

Glad everything is back to normal

I only hope that is sarcasm.

Is BTB's computer logged or is the password still not updated?

When you don't have much to work with in life, you have to try hard to be an underachiever. In the long run, I'd rather an irate script kiddy biting at my heals than an actual hacker.
