Thanks for sharing Dimitris, but if link every websites you have with this satellite blogs (with small articles version), i think you can have a penalization, or not?
it can't bring nothing bad to your money sites, you can not choose who's gonna republish your articles, in shorter or longer, rewritten, spun or copy/pasted version, so neither than google.
If you overspam those blogs with articles and bunch of backlinks, google will just pass them and will not index your links, also you'll probably get banned from web 2.0s.
On the other hand if you post articles with and without backlinks it will look like - just another magazine about everything and nothing, and you'll get your backlinks indexed. it would be the best if they could be in one big niche.
it is a lot of work for one of those blogs, not to mention ten or more, but it is good way to promote your money making sites.
at the same time you can do some promotion for those blogs, drive some traffic, monetize them, and earn some bucks from them too...
that's how you build your backlink structure.
google don't like (any more) that much single article page with backlinks, so called web 2.0 linkwheels, the moderators too, eventually they'll erase them. but often updated blogs with different content, no one will interrupt.
just imagine if you do that for your competitors, would they get penalization???
the only thing is that you'll need whole day to do it yourself, so it means you'll have to focus on only one money making site for some time (until you build your network structure) and that's bad. the best thing is if you can outsource it for cheap price.
link them between, link them to money sites, link them outside sometimes but always to high reputed sites, put some picture posts, video posts, and it will look just natural...they will be weak on the beginning but eventually they'll become stronger. some day you'll have more sites and you'll be able to post strong backlinks to them too...even sell posts and backlinks as an service...
if you could buy posts on high PR blogs to promote your business would you do it?
always use proxies or "hide IP" softwares.
different mails and usernames if you go with free 2.0 properties...
do it gently, you'll need it on a long term.
that's just an option, you asked for ideas

hope that helped.
good luck friend.
