My whole linkwheel sites all on same Google Analytics account

hello guys, i can't find any info in the forum on this so perhaps you can help. i've set up a linkwheel with a mainsite and 5 minisites.

all minisites backlink into my mainsite.

all sites incl. mainsite are tracked with google analytics on the same account.

is it likely google will penalise for that as it might be obvious what i am trying to do?

the answer is in the question - if you know it's stupid to do so - why are you still doing it?
some will tell you that you not to use google, other say it don't make any diffurent. the big question is why not just to make it as 5 diffurent accounts and have some peace of mind?

Some people will argue that it's not even safe to use Google Analytics period on any site you are doing blackhat SEO on. I still use GA, but I have a high quality site and am careful about my linking methods.

However, with a linkwheel, the point is to mimic what is "natural" in Google's eyes and this is just a really silly thing to do in the longrun. Most people want their linkwheels to look like someone else has came to their site, realized how amazing it was, and then made a link back to it on their own site or made a fansite. You don't have any people who actually want to do this, so you are fake replicating it. That's why people go to such lengths creating these smaller sites by changing names and emails and clearing cookies and etc.

I haven't done extensive testing on a hundred sites so I'm not an expert, but this seems like fishing during an electrical storm to me.

If you had a legitimate reason to link the sites together like if you had a business in different locations and a seperate Website for each business then linking them together on the same account would be OK after all that's what real businesses do. But if you're doing it to game the system (Google) by creating inbound links for ranking purposes then I don't think it'a a good idea.

Many other analytics packages exist (Woopra / WP etc) so why use GA and create a huge footprint?

I think its advisable to remove google analytics from any site you are working, BH or otherwise.

Using nothing more than common sense, Do you think if they can send traffic to you on one end, and then on the other end, see exactly how that traffic reacts, do you think they would not use that information?

Compound that with their own advertising platform being involved.

The answer is fairly obvious.

I personally don't buy the "evil GA" argument.

The reason being much the same why google can't allow you to delist your competititon with xrumer.

If they did use their GA stats for delisting and penalizing the websites that use GA, that would create an uneven playing field, tilted against google users. If this ever became known, GA as a product will be dead. They can't allow that.

Based on this, I am convinced that the flagging algo must be uniform and GA-independent. Only once you are flagged and get a manual review, GA may be used by the reviewer, although I doubt it. It only takes 10 seconds of looking at a site to figure out what it is.

Hah, I think maybe no analytics would be better, there are shed loads of other analytic softwares out there that do a better or worse job than G you could have used.

When you build a linkwheel you are trying exploiting Google. Why would you use Google analytics? (sp). Makes no sense at all! I bet you never used proxies either to set up your Web 2.9 properties!

Pardon my ignorance, but what does setting up web 2.0s matter with google. It's not like google can tell the ip that set up say a squidoo page. This would only matter to the service providers (of the web 2.0s), no?

I don't recommend using GA if your using a linkwheel. Not to say that they do track your info but giving them that doorway to step into is like waving a red flag around saying "Over here...everything you need is right here"...

I would make it as hard as possible for them to detect a pattern in your method.

As mentioned earlier if your using BH methods then use something that isn't owned by the people that you are trying to scam.
