Hi,

I am thinking of buying a .ag domain because the words before the .ag are low comp but high searches and the other obvious ones like .com and .org and .info are already taken.
I would just like to know if the after the . part matters at all?

Thanks a lot!

depends on what country you targetting, if you looking for traffic from Antigua and Barbuda, then yeah, .ag is perfect

if you looking for traffic from anywhere else, no, definitely dont get a geo targetted domain, you will struggle to rank. rather get a shitty keyword .com

I see thanks. So just get a domain with the keyword in it like bestx.com xblog.com where x = keyword?

yes..
or do a keyword search , get hold of related keywords, see which among those are available to register a COM!

.ag is a country domain name. Country domain name mostly is use for target domestic market. If target international market then do not use country domain name.

What about a .ws domain? Godaddy says it stands for website but wikipedia says it means western samoa. Anyone had any success with .ws domains?

Wouldnt the domain extension not matter because in google webmaster tools it gives you the option to set the geo target of the domain. I feel that would override the country extension (example .tv, .co, I have seen rank high in google.com in the us not were tv is from and colombia
