I wonder how they determine if you do any of the "Prohibited Activities" from their Terms if they don't have any logging in place just think about that for a sec.

All those VPNs are OK if u're looking to browse some porn and join forums and stuff and to be somehow anonymous, but if u're looking at breaking the law then some paid VPN is not going to cut it.

Take a look at tor if you want to go the free route. There's no such thing as perfect anonymity though unless you are hijacking someone's wireless, so you just don't care if the originating IP gets discovered.

Extreme anonymity whether possible or not i dont know. HSS is slow as hell. I tried it and they put up ads when you browse.

I'm basically wanting to place bets at bookmakers and have 'friends' also place bets from my place; it's the bookies who have 1 per ip address etc that cause issues.

Bookies use iesnare to try to catch punters out, but using multiple laptops and blockers seems to have cured that. It is the ip issue that could cause problems.

Yes, that's it. But don't forget to clean your cookies first. (use Ccleaner, it's free)
