With Google changing everything and its exclusivity on the pagerank algorythm running out, do you think this kind of linking service will maintain success?
I just checked the top 10 results of my biggest competitors and the results are crazy. One guy had less than 150 backlinks inks, a few had around 5000 and one had as many as 35000 of which most were dups. I checked to see what was backlinking to the backlinks and it really wasn't a whole lot. I expected to see tons.
I'm not an expert which is why I'm here trying to get ahead, but there doesn't seem to be any consistency in the game that I can put my finger on. OK maybe I'm not factoring AGE into the equation which may play a bigger role than I can see by checking out backlinks. Also, peculiar, a competitor who was nowhere a couple of months ago, showing just one backlink, has just nudged past me on a keyword combo which isn't even fully optimised in his site. Maybe I've slipped back, but I have lots of links and some of the bigger ones are themselves showing up right under me, quoting my site. OK that's local-stuff that triggers google maps and stuff. The reason I'm here is to get national searches turning me up but it's like pissing in the wind at the moment. Embarrassing in fact.
Quite apart from the obviously money and business interests here. A non sales viewpoint please would be appreciated. I'll sign up anyway to the basic package today or tomorrow probably.
