Phenomon of gurus...something on my mind

If these "gurus" are making a lot of money doing X, why would they even bother creating a course ? Out of the goodness of their hearts? Wouldn't they be saturating the markets with more competition hence making them less money?
Has anybody followed any of these gurus exactly and made the same amount of money that they claim they are making?

The gurus have usually saturated the market themselves well BEFORE they make an e-product to sell to you.

They get the cake and you get the crumbs . . . That's how it works.

simply because 90% of the people that buy the products dont apply what they learn. they start off with a bang and when they realize theres *gasp* work involved, they go on and buy the next shiny object.

That is true as well . . . However, I have often found that if you don't follow their method to the letter, but rather, apply it in a different way with your own "twist", you can usually do much better. Sometimes there are little "gems" within their methods that will set you outside of the crowd if you use them in a different way. I am always on the lookout for those types of things.

95% of gurus don't actually do any money besides Ebooks. They come out with business idea and instead of using it and taking risk, they will wrap it nicely in Ebook and sell it to noobs.
This will generate from $xxx through $x.xxx all the way to $xx.xxx
Guru is in most cases Hype. Don't believe guys, photoshoped Paypal accounts, and pictures next to the random cars...

Anyways, on topic...As was stated in this thread, many of the "Gurus" who write these eBooks either:

(A) Have already taken advantage of the tactics mentioned in the eBook to the point where they can make more money selling eBooks about it

(B) The specific type of content that they are writing about is such that even if the method is introduced to others they will not at all be effected by others taking advantage of it too

(C) They simply read the methods elsewhere and made an eBook or thought about the method, never implemented it, and decided to just sell it instead.

Occasionally you will find some legitimate Gurus who just want to help though...Whether or not that's after taking eBook money depends on the "Guru"
