Making $10 a day now trying to make $30

So i have a site that recieves about 2500 impressions a day with about a 4% clickthrough rate, earning me $7-12 a day through adsense. I was thinking about just turning the site into a landing page for a cpa for something like free ipod, just would need to be a cpa that was just email submit or maybe a 1-2 page survey, cause I figure most people will be looking for the original site. Also the site has about 6500 links in google and a alexa rank of 70,000 or so. Any advice on this? Or as to what I should do with this site to earn some more income from it? As you can see I have already done some seo and promotion for the site.

what i would do is leave it on autopilot and start new site in new niche.. rinse and repeat.. works well for me.

Yeah, let it run and make some money for you and either scale it up for more sites, or pick a new method and work it. If they money is flowing don't change it unless it will make it better, and the best way to do that is make another one and make the changes on that. Let the cash flow, and, if the changes work, then you can try them on the old one.

I think you could probably squeeze a bit more than $10/day out of 2500 impressions (depends on the niche, really. this might not be feasable). I would first try and optimize what you have now. Move your adsesnse ads around, change colors, etc etc etc.

Once you think you've got everything you can get out of it, THEN rinse and repeat. Or try a completely different method, diversification is often the key to long term success.

First off it's all about traffic, the more you have the more you make, even if you only got a 1% ctr. If you're doing everything you can to get the ctr up, your site just isn't cut out for it, at least thats what i've come to. then you're about getting more traffic. Not just traffic but give people a reason to come back. My site that i'm making 5-10 a day right now just sells my wow guide but once my new site with forums for members is up it will give people who already bought a reason to come back everyday.

This is just my opinion btw it's what i feel changed my income. But I went from september to jan with making $30. I barely had a hundred people a day if even that coming to my site.

Another thing you can try to do is get something on your site onto digg.com that really drives in traffic. i got a page in my aboutitworld site on there, i had like 80k people view it that day and made almost $200.

hey thanks for the advice guys, if any of you were wondering it is a free file hosting site. The advice about digg is good but prob wouldn't work for this site. I have had some articles from a blog I have do well on stumbleupon and have traffic jump from 100uniques to over 2000 in a day. Anyone think I should maybe sell the file hosting site? Or maybe get some pro seo help, cause I'm not bad at seo, but I'm def no pro

I agree If you're making 2500 impressions, you can def squeeze much more. I do around 300 and I make around $20 a day. PM me if u wanna chat. You can also just leave that site on autopilot and make more sites.

I was alsoaybe thinking of putting some pop unders on the site which would make me an extra 5 or so daily. My only worry is that People hate pop unders so much that it will discorage my repeat visitors.

$10 a day is too low for 2500 impressions, You are succeeding in getting traffic to ur site, but I think you should focus more on how to convert those impressions to buyers and try to get more money out of them. I think u should try to change your site a little bit, should make it more appealing to them..

In all honesty i know my site could use a lot in terms of seo, for example there is almost not content for spiders to crawl. Overall most of my traffic comes from forums. Can I post my site here so you guys can see it and give any suggestions or would that be considered spam?

Yes. Get an auto-responder.
Offer a free something, whether it be a course (which is just a five article newsletter sent by email each day) or a small ebook.

A paid survey or win a free prize one can also work, as long as it is a personal appeal and not a banner ad which people ignore.

People like free stuff, and if you build a relationship they are more likely to buy from you. It is a must for successful article marketing and yet so few people do it. You have extra opportunities to market a clickbank product to people

How about an upsell? Free file hosting for first 2 gigs then $4.00 a month for 10 gig or something? Make the premium ones crawlable so they can be used for seo purposes. Just thinking.

My best advice is to completely replicate what you are doing. Why change your page from an autopilot income and face a penalty for converting it into some landing page that may or may not work. If you can build a page that generates $10/day, then you can build 1000 webpages that all generate $10/day.

Being successful in this game is learning to never put all of your eggs in one basket, and never be the rockstar in any one thing. Instead of trying to bump your site to $30/day (which I'm not saying don't tweak and maximize profits), try to create two more sites that do the same thing. Then 2 more, then 2 more...

I am an angel investor and i buy and sell small software companies and i have recently taken up purchasing websites off of Ebay.

I bought one the other day, but i don't have anyone to market it.

Have you (or anyone) thought about doing a deal where for 50% of the equity of the website, you do the marketing and transfer over some of your experience to the owner.

I'd be happy to give you a cut of the equity of the site, if you helped me build traffic to it. Its an international cool product, with a big launch coming up in Oct. Cost me $150.

I am currently doing that but recieve very few premium memberships, about 4 a month, many many free members but only 4 or so premium a month.

On another note I might consider help promoting for a profit share rudyvise. The only thing is im kind of a believer that you should learn it yourself. Learning how to get traffic is a BITCH and takes patience (if its white hat, but that will be more long lasting) but in the end is worth it. Just soak up soooooo much bhw and apply what you read and eventually it should work. I too am a VERY impatient and lazy person, so I throw in a little black hat with my white hat seo so I can see some quicker results. Also if you are looking for a mentoring type thing there are a couple things I might reccomend. Diamond Dave started black hat university for 97 a month and it opened today I believe. I am not part of the program yet but Im sure it is amazing. Another choice is a program that Havok, Nevarc, Nick Flame, and some other people I think are running for $50 a month I beleive. BHU should be all black hat info, while the other one should be a mix. I hope this helps.
