We're having enough trouble reversing ONE algorithm, and you want to try reversing TEN?! :P

Would probably be worse if google lost most of its market share, its not so bad right now, could be WAYYYY worse

I agree, I'm not as happy with Google's new algo change as the next guy (or imer at least) but at least all we have to do is figure out how to rank more effectively and we're back to normal.
 
That video clears quite a few misconceptions about SEO. For instance:

There is indeed a manual check by Google

There are no permanent Google penalties. If it is algorithmic, you need to make the necessary correction. If it is manual penalty, then the cure is even more straigtforward- just undo what got you penalized in the first place. He clearly says that all penalties would be revoked in due time, provided necessary steps are taken.
 
hehehe....no matter how many cops there are in a country, there would still be crooks roaming d street [however few they are]!
 
As a general rule of thumb I don't take grown men seriously who wear Green, Yellow, Red or Orange shirts. And well he's wearing :)

Also don't take grown men seriously who have silly online names ;)
