i bought a domain and hosting. And the host is located in eu zone, but i want to target us, does this matter? I've read somewhere here that the location of the host matter in terms of seo. Is there a way to correct it?

that is stupid. the location of your host means nothing.

Again this is all hearsay and nothing is confirmed, but i have to agree with the OP.

I too have heard this and have experienced it myself. For global search it doesnt matter, but if your targetting local then yes having the host server located in that local zone will be beneficial.

But..

To the OP, i wouldnt worry too much though. It does give a slight benefit, but not enough to worry about changing hosts just yet

The host location matter, but just a bit. Google is interested to offer fast pages to their users and if the server is in the same country as the user, the page will be fast for him.
