Lots of content... anyone do this?

Needing lots of content and been reading up on spun content, reading PLR articles that a sheer bloomin awful, played about with some spinners (I'm VERY new at black hat) when I suddenly thought...

Why not get some sort of speech to text thing and just talk into it as you're going about your' day - blabbing away on whatever topic, mentioning those keywords but just chuntering whatever comes to mind.

Bish bosh into a text file, bob's your uncle.

Instant unique content that you can then spin.

Does anyone do that?

I would still advice you to write content that your customers will be happy with. Just with good content you will drive traffic by other ways, and more humanized traffic. People will even recommend your website like that. If you put Gibbers in I would obviously just use it as link tactics.

You can use Narrator in Windows if you don't have dragon speech, but it is probably not as good as Dragon Speaking Naturally. Or you could download the Text to Speech Google gadget; Google has translated great for me in the past, and they are continually improving their algorithms.

Nothing beats Dragon, I hear that there are certain bay area websites that just give it away You can always edit the text after it is transcribed to get rid of errors, but you will be surprised just how accurate it is, especially if you spend a short time training it

I tried this a while ago, Dragon absolutely REFUSED to recognize my voice though. after about 5 days of trying to run through the setup (with 3 different mics) I gave up on it

Spinning content with a quick lookover is the best imo, but for pure unique content to start with voice recognition is a great way to go...if you can make it work

Dragon is pretty awesome. You can talk out an article in 3-5 minutes so it's pretty coherent, then if you want edit it for 1-2 minutes so it's fully readable.

I'd say you better get all the content for your website and important promotional content written by someone else. I know it hurts to pay a few dollars per article, but big G is getting to nosy with spun content off late.

I'm from India. So any idea on how successful Dragon could be with a foreign accent? I'm curious cause I can give long speeches on any topic pretty easy and want to turn conversations into speech.

The latest versions of Dragon have options for different types of English accents, I'm not sure if they have an Indian setting or not. However DNS is highly trainable - it really works great.

Just be sure not to skimp when you buy a microphone - you really need a pro quality mike for the best accuracy. I recommend the Sennheiser ME3 which is one of the most commonly recommended mikes for DNS.

I've been testing DNS for about 2 weeks now. I'm using version 11, which is worth all the training effort. It's fast and accurate as compared to its predecessors. I make it to the point to train at least once a day and then launch the accuracy tuning every so often. Yes, DNS is pain in the ass especially if you are just starting to use it.

I typed 70 wpm and sometimes, with all the mistakes that DNS is spitting out, it feels like the need to ditch it out. But then again, my goal is to write 20 articles a day so I'm willing to 'correct that,' 'spell that,' or 'scratch that,' whatever my hearts desire all day long.

You need a fast computer to use DNS.
You need a good mic to use DNS. I use plantronics, which is pretty good.
You need patience, lots of it, in fact.

Just to add my perspective, a speech to text synthesizer works great on free flow of thought, than on structured keyword dense articles. Never tried it, so was wondering what your experience was on writing SEO content.

If you're a good typist it's actually faster to do your editing / correcting by hand rather than using the Dragon functions. Use DNS to get the bulk of your text out then correct the odd mistake by hand.

Work out which words / phrases Dragon gets wrong consistently and then just train those specifically until DNS gets it right - they will account for 90%+ of the errors after you have done some basic training. Otherwise you spend a lot of time doing vocal correction. Your accuracy won't suffer greatly.

Thanks everyone - wow. Going to look at these links and investigate DNS - My typings of the two finger variety so a quicker way to get what's in my head out is most welcome.

Spent two weeks writing 40 unique articles by hand so I reckon the investment will be worth it when I do eventually, go from white to black hat.
