Looking for members for my new article directory.

It's brand new, totally empty (probably not an incentive lol) and now I just need members. Thing is, I don't want it filled up with PLR shite. I want members who submit quality, unique content so that it builds up into an authority article site.

Besides the usually linkpushing stuff to start getting some traffic in, can you think of other places I might find some folk who want to submit their articles?

Like I said, it's a totally virgin directory. Just waiting for members.

You're welcome to join, won't cost you anything and you can promote up to three links in your articles (should I increase this or will the big G see that as spammy?).

Well I Just have a few comments, from the heart so don't take this personally downgrading, take it as constructive criticism.

I would think alot of us here at BHW wouldn't mind posting articles on another BHW members site, We would perfer to help out one of our own then a stranger. But nobody is going to want to invest in articles, time, and then build a bunch of backlinks to that article which will cost more money and or time to an article site that could get deleted next week. If I were you I would pay for four years worth of hosting upfront and I would extend your domain registration to at least 4 years becuase right now it is just one year

makes us think this is a fly by night operation.
then I would come back to this forum and state that this has been done and try to insure to us that this site will be stable, permanent.

Plus you need to at least put NoFollows on those 19 ext links on those article pages. No one wants to go through all the work to post those articles and create backlinks if all his time and money is going to go to all those 19 ext links. See the actual link juice will get divided up by the external links that the article page has. and your site has 19 ext links without any article links. Not what a wise webmaster would invest his time and money into.

See when I post an article, those are some of the first things that I check.

Will my post get deleted next week?

Will the website be around for a few years?

will all my hard work be invein? (how many ext links)

Just some food for thought.......

It can also be seen as a way for the webmaster to get free unique articles without having to pay for them.

Mistrusting i know, but there's alot of scammers on the internet.

Tell you something mate, this was a real eye opener! Thanks so much for taking the time to talk me through the mindset involved here.

Problem here is that my host doesn't have an option for four years hosting, they only offer it in 1 year chunks. :/ Might have to change hosts then (just thinking out loud here).

I wouldn't delete articles though as that's just stupid. I would only delete articles that didn't get past Copyscape at least.

No, this is something I really want to do, and I'm no scammer. Every person would have his own account area, and there would be other admins as well, not just me, to take care of the REAL scammers.

But yeah, thanks again for your post, really useful, good stuff.

Perhaps a four year prepaid hosting was a bit much. But the domain registration isn't asking too much. And do something about ALL those ext links for gods sake
