Building a list + Clickbank... Starting a new path...

Thank you for jumping in in this thread. My purpose here is to share my experience as i start this new project.

I have been doing CPA since feb 2010, nowadays i make roughly $100 - $150 daily from CPA.

I want to start something new, So i decided i should give it a try at building a list and marketing CB products. I am fearly new at this but i am hoping to learn and expand my knowledge at this field.

So this is what I did...

1. I have downloaded a squezee page pack , where I got simple and nice squezee pages.
2. I choose a product in CB ( I wantd to start in the online marketing niche). This product was released not to long ago with a $17+ per sale, 75% comm and grav 2-4 ish. extra info. This product offers the user to opt in to give away free info that its worth $27 but according to that their at not paying anything. I wonder if they are trying to sell by email follow up, then i guess i wouldnt get paid?
3. I have looked up for competitors for my products and i have taken some notes on what does their sales pages are marketing to get some ideas on how to pre sell.
4. So I tried putting up a eye-catching headline, body some bullets of features about what their are going to get and the squezee at the right side.

Ok now I thought of two things before setting everything up:

• I wanted to start building most importantly more than making money to start with. Since i am new at this so i just want to test and learn.
• I wanted to try buying some traffic, (I am not good at SEO since i have no idea how to do it, i can understand what is up with all the tools given around, so that is what is backing me up from trying SEO)
• Therefore I am not doing a review page, just a simple squezee giving free info by opt-in name and email.

I got the free account from getresponse autoresponder for starters with 100 contacts. Not able to track open rate thou.

So this is basically what happens...

User get to see the site, hopefully I get their attention, and thei sign up.
next page is thankin them and asking them to confirm their email. so double opt in.

Afterwards they get my follow up, which is the email copy provided by the CB product with my aff link in there shorten with bit.ly.

So what are my result so far as of now 1:22am on Saturday Feb5.

So I started everything on Feb04.

I bought traffic where I get general traffic (real humans)
$6 x 1k US views
$4 x 4k WorldWide views
$2.4 x 3k WW proxie views (some cheap and fast traffic)

with a $3 daily budget spread betweek all traffic sources mention above,
and this is to be used on the weekends only til sunday feb06.

So far i got:
3315views and 45filled in

Only 9 confirmed their email so far but only 2 clicks from the follow ups.

How do I feel?

Well it feels good thou because its my first time trying it. So far it means that my squeeze is catching some attention getting 45 people o fill in out of overs 3000 views (which is bad let say, but its better than norhing)...

I got 2 clicks out of 9. I guess its good when it comes to porcentage but I feel that maybe its something wrong on the follow up email that by fixing it might increase better results.

What do I expect?

Like I said before I hope to learn and share my experience with anyone here.

At the same time I hope that I can get some advice.
I highly Appreciate if i can something that will improve my campaign.
an some things to answer like:

• What its better to go for organic traffic or paid traffic? (remember I have no clue how to go by SEO)
• if paid traffic, PPV or PPC? ( I dont quite understand PPC thou since falls into a bit of SEO because of choosing right keywords.
• The free info info I am promisin its teh same one that the product is giving away free of charge. SO its ok by doing that? or should i give my own report regardeless of what product?

OK so far those are my question and I hope I can hear some good feedback as I am going to update you guyz on my progress.

Hope you are able to see the site, because for some reason i am not able to see it in my comp, but in my gf pc at her place it opens fine. I guess its working because of the views thou.

ok is kinda of bad now. i think i spend more on CPM for this little do, so far no good response i am seeing anyways

Hey,

Sounds like your starting out on the right track. You need to remember that those visitors are extremely untargeted and your product is VERY competitive.

Perhaps try a slightly less competitive niche with more targeted traffic and you should have better results.

i am thinking i should try ppc? for whti know i think that would make it more targeted traffic since they will click at their own will and a specific keyword.. am i right?

so instead of buying traffic , you can try to write a simple report related to your product for giving away , try not to use the vendor's one . Then submit another 10 articles to most of the article directory massive free traffic . You can mention that you are giving away free info at the resource box and route ppl to your sqeeze page.

ok here is another version for the traffic and possivble conver getter....

off a dripping wet / juicey / irrisitable free guide/ report/ how-to

for a messily name and email / ((must be irrisitable.. to who you are tarrgetting.....free is always irrisitable if you make it valuable..

secret here is to get numbers on site......2 realy good techniques here would bee to go to www.fiverr.com find some guy that has a giant list of twitter fallowers/facebook fans/ linked in buddys / whatever and buy that gig....
((make sure to have google analytics to gauge the succes here))

see how many hits you get and clicks (double and tripple check your opt in process seems suspect to me...my 2 cents there...make sure that when you send them emails after the initial opt-in.. that they sound natural and from you...or else that will through them off.......

second is MASS ARTICLE/video sindication
we are talking about 100 articles spread over several article directories all linking back to you....and about 10 vids put out over tube mogul/ other vid syndication networks....once that net is thrown out you cant take it back....and will go FAR and wide..

shorterm buy a few gigs at fiverr / maintain your CPA/PPC campaig
then do the ***** BOMB technique of articles and videos net like i talked about
