I've ran into a few people on this site, and a few others offering 500 thousand views on youtube in 48 hours, but the price ranges to around 3 grand. Now that's obviously a lot of money that would be invested into a simple Youtube video. And my question is, is it really worth it? Would that be enough views to really get your video noticed, or would you just get to 500,000 views and it then stop?

Depends on certain factors.
E.g. What genre type is your video?
500,000 views in 48 hours could get you on the front page of youtube for some genres, thus, bringing another 50,000 + viewers to your video at least.
From there, you have to be honest with yourself; is the video of good content? Are people going to want to watch it?
If the answer is yes, then people, without a doubt, will share your video via other social networks, start searching for your video, & comment/ rate your video. With that, you can bring more viewers continuoulsy overtime.
Long story short, if the video content is something the average person will find entertaining, in one way or another, the 500,000 views will give you the initial boost you need, while the people of the youtube community will keep your video going after that.

Totally depends on what you are trying to do. Unless you are sure of your strategy, it seems like the best way to lose $3k. Also a video with 500k redirected views is going to look very suspicious wih 3 comments and 2 thumbs up.

& I strongly doubt 1,000,000. If you look at the insights, they only get 100,000 - 200,000 tops.
Thanks for the input. This is all hypothetical because I used to have a decent account going just making comedy videos n such, but time constraints with work made me lose interest. Now with the partner program and stuff I've become interested with doing Youtube again, but after all these years all my subs have forgotten about me, so you have to start somewhere. But I never considered spending THAT much to get back in the game. That seems ridiculous

I agree with this. For a 30 second Animoto clip promoting a Clickbank product, it's obviously not worth it. But for something that people would want to Tweet about and talk about on Facebook and legitimately has the chance to go viral, I think it would be worth it.
So obviously it depends on the quality of the video and how you are planning to monetize it.
Just out of curiosity, where are you finding people that will sell you that many Youtube videos in such little time? I'd be interested in checking them out myself
I'd have to look around other forums to find the guys, but one person on this forum (cheapyoutubeviews) said he could even get a million in 48 hours. Not sure how legit he is or not, I guess I'd have to do some research on that.
I would probably pay up to a grand for this service if it worked, because if you have a decent video it could lead to a shit load of subscribers if you get on the first page. That could lead to constant cash as a partner for life if you deal with it right.

If you're doing this to a viral video, it's pointless.
Solid YT income comes from a partnership that churns out 3+ videos a week. Even then YT partners gain a solid userbase slowly, then explode on one or two videos.
So really, I personally think it is a waste.
