I guess blasting like crazy is the only way to go with comments now though to have any effect at all on a top 10 placement, even for easy keywords... I've way more links then my competitors(all shops), all with proper anchor texts, variations, etc, still stuck on no6. Competitors have 0-10 backlinks to the ranking page, I have over 700.

Same for another site, where I can't outperform another page on the same site.the other page has 200 profile backlinks(speaking about diversifying links, he got only forum profile bl), I have 750 comment backlinks, still no way to outrank the other page. Both examples are with proper onpage seo for the targeted kw.

Did anyone have better experiences with comment blasts as of late? How many backlinks did you guys have to generate to be on the top spot?

I am beginning to think that the time spent to find blogs, sort them out to finde the ones to comment on, scan them for autoapprove blogs, etc does cost way more time then its worth in return. What good are 700 backlinks if I am not able to rank No1 for a low competition keyword(where no1 would be a must because of low traffic...)? Plus, I only have a 2mbit line, it seems to take forever to find enough autoapprove blogs that actually give me backlinks...

Help me out guys, I am a bit discuraged right now. I'm not gonna give up on auto approve blog commenting just yet though... Hopefully I find a faster way to get lots of autoapprove blogs.

Blog commenting was good back in 2005.

Bear in mind that 99% of blogs have nocomment enabled by default for comments. Whilst nofollow almost certainly passes some kind of juice, it's also almost certainly toned down a bit compared to regular hard links. Comments are also extremely easy to identify, especially for wordpress blogs. It's no wonder they're not counted very heavily.

Also - if you see someone doing something and it's working (eg profile backlinks in your case) then copy them, and fast, while it's still working! If you can see evidence that what you're doing is working then keep at it but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. BH SEO is a fast moving ship.

Are the ranking pages inner or homepages? If they have a trusted homepage with lots of quality backlinks they have a major advantage in ranking an inner page.

I blast only my forum profiles to get em indexed and comment manually on low spammed high PR blogs for my money sites.

right, copying my competitors is one of the way's I'm gonna go. Already set up another test page on the same domain to see how it performs. Problem is, I do not have the money for xrumer or xrumer blasts so its all manual (I'll check out crazyflx's forum profile creator though...)

The im strategy I am currently working on focusses on low effort(off page seo wise) per keyword, at the same time these are low competition kw, so I thought this would be fine -> low effort per kw = lot's of kw can be done, wanted to blast them with comments so I can totally concentrate on great kw research and mass article writing "and just keep blasting". Without a seo method thats automated (and low cost ) my IM strategy is practically useless... (if anyone knows a off page seo strategy that would work for that, I would be glad to hear it).

My competitors pages are inner pages(shop sites), while mine is my homepage. For the other page I am working on, both are inner pages, mine and the one the competition has.

People will keep doing comment spam cos they only have $59 to spent, thats 100% the only reason people still do it, the use is exactly 0. Actually my sites that I do not comment spam for rank better including link wheels !

XRumer and SB have devalued these links from overuse. They should not be your only means of backlinks if you want to stay competitive. I've moved away from profile links and only use SB to help me for uncompetitive keywords or to help me get a page indexed.

Blog comments have lost most of their value. I prefer to comment manually on high pr blogs just in order to vary backlink types.

Just wondering, do web 2.0 link wheels have enough link juice by themselves? Always thought they are almost worthless without having backlinks themselves. Meaning - apart from autocreation one has to write articles for them as well, spin them and create backlinks.

My point is - Linkwheels might be a great idea for micro/mini niche sites or bigger, or for kw with a lot of potential $$ but just for ranking one specific page on a web 2.0 plattform that targets some low competition and low traffic kw that would be overkill.

I'll try to get bigger autoapprove lists and spam the hell out of them. I guess if I don't find a solution to this I have to switch to another IM strategy where offpage seo with more effort actually makes sense.

Profile links have a higher PR dont they? I mean, if your focusing on getting forum profile links and your placing those on PR4+ sites then that would be the reason. Unless you find a ******** comment page with a high PR you could be blasting hundreds of links to your site that is only a PR0. And if quality is better than quantity then thats the reason pretty much.
