Need some places to sell from.

I'm looking for sales platforms with something like the "buy it now" function on Ebay. Means no/not only auctions, but fixed prices. High customer traffic and low/no fees are gold.

I'm new on the field, so I have no idea where to begin looking, which names to concentrate on. Every bit of advice is appreciated.

I don't have the skills to do this without investing some money. Which I can't spare at the moment. A web shop is certainly the most comfortable option, but it has to wait until I have made a hundred or so sales. The most expensive part will be the SEO, I think.

Starting your own web site would have to be the best idea in the long run, that is what I am doing. This way you can put up whatever products you want, and not have to compete for the lowest price.

It's the Internet, many of the customers are taking ebay prices as reference anyway. The potential to bind regular customers is what makes the own website interesting. And, should time become scarce, the automation of the sales and delivery process, so that only the aquisition of suppliers and the complicated customers have to be handled by me on a regular base. But as I said, I can't afford to make the site well known, also I haven't even begun to read the material about efficient customer relationships, so I will not invest in this now.

I have found a few other promising sites, with no listing fee and a sales fee not even half as high as the one at ebay. But their customer base is so low that I'll probably need months to sell what I sell on ebay in a day. So I'll stick with ebay for now.
