EDIT UPDATE....
You have only 1 post which is deemed to be countable, not 19 countable posts.
(This is probably the main reason why).

There are many references to this inside BHW.
By the way, this reply from me is not the definitve response,
but hopefully it will clarify it a bit for you.

and if you follow his threads/posts, you will not go far wrong.

There are many great people in BHW, and rather than post a list of my favorites, (and forgetting to include someone by mistake);
search out who appeals most to your style / topic etc....
and research throughout the forum for anything you need to discover.

Thank you but I believe my posts are countable which is why the post count increased. Posts that do not count do not increase the post count correct?

That is my understanding from what I read, thanks for the help.
 
I beg to differ. The vast majority of your posts are 1-line, thanks, queries - very little value or "meat" to them at all. I think I've seen a name for people like this before...

Uh, no they are not at all, so I beg to differ.

I have the proper post count and pm's enabled yet I get this error: Shenanigans has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

So, I really don't know what is up and it makes it difficult to purchase services.
 
Go to User CP (top left of your screen)

look for link that says SETTINGS AND OPTIONS
click on EDIT OPTIONS
scroll down to MESSAGING AND NOTIFICATIONS


see what you have clicked and unclick them. or vice versa

Thanks for the suggestion, I have done that. Tried unclicking enabling private messaging and re-clicking, same thing.

I can send them, just can't receive. Thanks for the suggestion though!
 
In fact, all but 3 of your posts have been useless 1-liners. And to settle this, for the sake of those who don't want to go to the troulbe of checking for themselves, I've listed every post excet the 3 that were > 1 line (and they were useless anyway):

To settle what, who cares? I have to meet your idea of quality postings? Get a life. Like I said, I consider those posts relevant which is why I made them and could care less if you feel differently.

This thread is about why PM's aren't working and I do not believe that is because my posts do not meet your idea of how many lines they should be. Let me know how many words my responses to you should have :rolleyes:

You don't determine what is or is not a "quality post", so it's actually your opinion that is irrelevent. And while the forum doesn't actually define what a "quality post" is, it specific states what it is not, which is one and two lines. People do this to "fluff up" their post count. That's why one or two lines is the very definition of what a "quality post" is not.

A quality post certainly can be less than 2 lines. It is hardly length that determines what a quality post is and it is completely subjective. Therefore, your opinion on the subject is irrelevant as well. Does this post meet your standards? Irrelevant.

What does matter though is getting PM's to work as they are fairly necessary for doing business with those who list their services here. I'm also sure they would like members to have their pm's working so they can make money. Since your post does not do anything to help resolve the issue it is by definition off topic and not a quality post to begin with making you a hypocrite.
 
One of these guys from accusing a newb of having multiple accounts, getting the righteous ASS WHOOPING (which he deservers), then 2 short weeks later is presuming to tell anothter newb anything. When in fact his paid membership should have gone into Dave's pocket to the tune of about $25,000. Cause that's the percentage he just sold when he signed onto this site, isn't it.

So, having put this <still in judegmental process, but two giant-steps backward right off the bat does not look good for future promotional opportunities. He fails to identify TALENT. Having none, he doesn't know what it looks like.

^ I could not have said it any better myself. The very definition of a quality post and one can tell by its length which is the measuring stick (haha, get it?)

Now, maybe, we can this PM issue resolved.
