Doing WH SEO for a "Famous Product" Site

Hi,

So I have a client that wants an SEO service for their product site. It is a product site that is moderately famous in the international market. They acquired it, made a site for the local and is not making enough 'web buzz'. I was planning to do some on-page optimization and a link pyramid with article links as support (just like BassTrackerBoats' blueprint). Are these enough? Or should I do more? I can't do BH blast since the service is pure WH.

Unfortunately, I am just the one who will be doing this. And they've done the press release, article submission etc... sadly it wasn't as effective and product as having the rank #1 for a profitable keyword.

It feels that your website is not optimized for your keyword then. Do you have your targetted keyword in title, description, h1,h2, main text?

If these things can't create buzz for your site then I doubt anything else will work... Problem is not with method but with your site or how you doing it. So check it, read some and then try again... As other suggested you may need to optimize your site for keyword.

No, but I included it on my proposal.

I do not want to do some one-way link building as I think it is kind of risky for a branded product like that.

Get High quality content written by a copywriter (or write it yourself) - has to be editorial level -

contact blogs that cover the niche or market that the product falls into - send an email to the person in charge kindly ask them to accept the content with a contextual or author bio link, linking back to either "news" section of the site OR "interesting articles" section which you should have if you dont have either of them then ask their development team create one. On that newly created page drop an internal link with your most profitable keyword as anchor text back to the homepage.

If you've ticked all other onsite SEO Boxes then this should help for sure.
