Hi,

Are there any disadvantages to using to using subdomains for exact keyword match?

In other words, I register only one generic domain name (less costs), and I create a subdomain for each affiliate product I want to sell (using exact keywords).

So if I was selling LCD Photo Frames, I would have:-

lcd-photo-frames ! my generic name ! cum.

I know that google will treat them all as individual domains, but are there any reasons that this is a bad idea?

Also, does using country specific domains really make it that much harder to to get world wide SERPs?

Thanks

Dave

You can use subdomains but they wont show up in serp's like you would expect.

So in google's almighty algo, they don't carry as much 'weight'?

Does that mean it's just harder to rank for the keyword, or next to impossible to rank for the keyword?

Thanks

Dave

Its harder, not impossible, at least from my experience. I assume you will have a lot of competition since you intend to market affiliate products so I would say much harder.

Second question: Yes.

Oh gotcha, thanks for the advice.
