Youtube, why want fake views?

Hi I am new to all this and have a little question. I have a webshop and am going to make a promotional video about a product. I understand a lot of guys here buy, or create fake views (viewet). But what I don't really understand why?

What is the point for me to get for example a 1000 fake views on one day other then maybe look like i'm important.

if it already is popular leave it, but 10k views just makes it look more professionell and you get even more views

the links from the description box on youtube probably don't count as real backlinks as far as the google serps go. they go through some funny redirect that's not a 301 from memory - it's not a proper hard link. however, yahoo somtimes lists youtube watch?v=xxx urls as backlinks in site explorer so who knows...

to get your youtube vid listed in the google serps you have to have a video that is already ranking #1 on youtube for that keyphrase. not all google serps have youtube vids included in the results though.
