What I'm looking for from you real gurus is what to do next to monetize this. I have a long term plan for it, but need some ideas on quicker moneymakers.

Please be frank and honest with me and tell me if the site is barf and should be taken down. Although in its first day it pulled in 24 UVs with no marketing at all.

It looks a bit bare, why not monetise it a bit.
The theme looks broken, or is the sidebar suppose to be at the bottom of the post.

I give it 3\10 for creativity (or lack thereof)

I suggest that you get a nicer theme

Seriously, change the theme... There are plenty of great ones in downloads section.

The theme is rubbish - The pink contact tab at the left is distracting and irrelevant. To be honest, I was too distracted by the pink to see anything useful. In surplus, you have to scroll to see content and/or ads (?) ... Try and make sure people do not have to scroll to see your ads .. Take some lighter colours, so people focus on ads in the first place, then content, then theme

Move the Adsense from the bottom ! I like the mouse over effects but the theme is a bit bland. I'm no expert, but that was my impression of the site.

Yes,You should change your theme,remove ads from bottom and put them at top in sidebar.

i appreciate "videostomper" as clever branding, and if you purchased it as an aged domain i respect that, but if its an auto-blog i would consider video to be a negative keyword and simply un google'able without major investment (i mean if that is your traffic source). if you are using twitter i take it back. either way, if you are going to purchase a tld i would consider more long-tail in the event you are considering further purchase. i hope you make it big!

So, thank you everyone for your useful input. I was actually thinking about changing the theme around a bit. I liked the bareness of it, but the sidebar being at the bottom I agree with, it seems too hard to navigate. So, please have a look again if you have time and tell me if the new look and layout is an improvement.

Hey TVnun, yeah I bought this because it's uber-brandable and yes, you guessed it, my main traffic source is Twitter. But I have had a sprinkling of google hits thanks to a really nice seo plugin I found. It basically adds the search keyword that discovered the post TO the post tags. As well as the other bits and pieces like Gregs Power SEO and twitter tools etc.

It's very bare, and I got very bored scrolling down the page with only the very old video links to look at. It's not clear to me what the site is about.

I think the videos (such a Morcambe and Wise and Rowan Atkinson) are only going to work if your target audience are about to collect their pensions.

Personally I prefer to stay away from the manufactured themes. You can buy the home version of artisteer ($49) and design your own template with WYSIWYG ease (it's a bit like dreamweaver for blogs), and it will be 100% original.

And for fick sake at least put a bit of adsense on it, as nowadays, it tends to make a site look 'normal' and professional (IMHO).

However, my first attempt at an HTML site was so completely sh*t, I must congratulate you on a good start

Your redesign is a big improvement. Test it out for a few and see if the layout works. If not try moving your ads to the right. Another thing you might want to look at is image ads. It's a video site after all.

Nice one Pilgrim, thanks a lot! However, I'm kinda taken by this theme, although I do understand about 'manufactured themes' being a bit classless. I'll check out the Artisteer software you mentioned later. Thanks for your input!
