Suggest to friends doesn't work on my page only.

When I try to suggest friends to my fan page it doesn't work at all. If I go to other fan pages it works. My page has my app added on. I have even tried creating a new fan page and added a new app and still same thing. Any one have any ideas to what is going on?

edit: It looks like the box tries to appear then turns into a grey line. This has been going on for a month and I have realized how many friend invite packages I have probably been scammed on. I have tried inviting from a regular IP and a proxy. But on both I can invite on other pages. Maybe facebook limits everything that is pulled from my server IP? My app pulls information from my server.

its not just you, suggestions seem to be down. Not only that they have removed the link unless your an admin.
 
All IM stuff aside ... this is lame for normal facebook usage in consideration. Suggesting common things to friends lie at the core of most social networks. Am I missing something? there must be another way to suggest to friends directly from the page?

You can't also bulk invite friends (from list) on event

Anyone have any idea to send invites????
 
THIS SUCKS BIGTIME! I net around 1k with this.... I know it is not that big but it is still a big income for me...

Hope we can get some sort of fix for this.....
 
That's really weird, they must have removed the link just recently, because I could have sworn only a few days ago you could invite to pages your were non admin on.

I dont think it will be working for long. They are rolling out an update.

So theres two issues here.

1. Only page admins can see the suggest to friends link

2. Theres a lovely bug on the link now, facebook ajax doesnt seem to be accessing the page object correctly, Nice work FB!


I have a method to get around the second issue, and if your an admin of the page you should be able to use FFAP becuase the fan manager screen hasnt changed.

Use firebug to get the link from the suggest link and paste it into a different window. Problem solved... if your an admin.

As in you think it will be fixed soon so non admins can invite? Or you think it's going to be permanently removed to non admins?
 
I tried it and it only gives the home link when I tried copying the link location, anyone tried the workaround above?

Should this update be permanent I personally would script up a way to add an account to the admin group... send invites then remove the user.


Or start exploring other ways to promote pages.

Lets start thinking guys

I agree. I understand fan pages do take a lot of heat, but at the same time not being able to suggest pages to friends for the average user would be a terrible feature to permanently remove. It would cut down on the spam pages to an extent - but I'm pretty certain a work around would be figured out by black hat users anyways (or at least by some)... So it would end up hurting the average user more.

oho .. add the 3 one..

3. If u been an admin.. u can only suggest the friends only that account have. So u cant change more admin often which may disable your page or the accounts and i am not sure because i dont know much about this. I am new here.
