My Idea: Ranking Blog Posts rather than micro-niche websites.. (feedback needed)

O,k well we all know managing hundreds of micro-niche websites its almost impossible, so isnt easier to use posts or categories like micro niches and make backlinks and SEO in general for the categories?

Im not a guru so I would like to hear some feedback about this "idea"

The reason for creating Micro niches is because the Power of a exact match domain/low competition keywords.

But if you know about seo you dont need a exact domain for ranking.

ok, from my experience like you said you can rank a site,post or any url with pure on-site SEO an backlinks so I think using categories or posts as if they were micro niches websites would work,right?

Yes, it works, but be aware, that if Gugl thinks you did something wrong, you may get a big penalty for your whole domain, incase you do big spamming at your site pages.

Otherwise, as far as I now, Gugl is more then ever now penalizing only URLs, not the whole domain, but they also give -30 penalties and such, so that you don't really realise, that you have got an penalty.

In the other site, you use micro-niches, as you don't always have one site which fits with all the low competition keywords you may find on your way. So here you use the power of exact domain names, and I don't see Gugl to change things here for now.

All in all, I prefer to use pages for keywords, if they fit to a site I have, so you gain juice and relevancy from all the other backlinks you already have pointing to your whole domain.

Just don't spent to much time for crap keywords. Do one, and move one. Of course, depends at which kind of keywords.

It not impossible to have heaps of micro niche sites, aslong as you know how to automate it.

Blog posts would help rank quickly with proper on-page SEO, provided the main blog has been around for a while, has about 2 PR so that some of the link juice and domain age authority gets passed onto the fresh blog post. Blog posts would also mean regular addition of keyword rich, unique content to the blog which the Search Engine Spider loves to crawl and index.

Those 2-3 page micro niche sites are not as effective as they used to be in the past, hence apart from focusing on authority sites, optimizing and ranking blog posts is a good idea. However, like micro niche sites blog posts too would only rank for long tail keywords.
