Forum Suggestion

I suggest the forum staff do not give negative rep for people posting in conversations in the "Forum Suggestions & Feedback" section.

It's really stupid to invite Members to have a conversation on how the forum might be improved, and then subject them to some fake, make-believe punishment for doing just that. It says something about a Membership that would tolerate this and something about the Staff that would do it.

Also deleting threads with no comment or explanation. By what standard does this happen? If a Member has no idea why a thread could be deleted, then why would they invest the time & effort into creating one? So, threads do not get created, there is less of interest for new people to participate in and forum participation dies.

And the money dies with it. How stupid is that?

I can assure you that the forum staff did not give you neg rep (you would have 0 rep or lower if they did). As for deleted threads I think a mod would PM you after or before deleting the thread unless you had a really stupid thread going against the rules. I hope someone else can fill you in on the rest as I can't understand what the rest means

Well I didn't know that someone other than Forum Staff could hand out negative rep. I assumed that because I could not see who did it, it must have been forum staff.

So it was more "senior members". What pinheads. I assume that at some point I'll have enough seniority to give negative rep out myself. Will I also be able to find out who gave me negative rep ?

you can't check who gave you neg rep, but only people that paid $97 for jrvip membership and up can give neg rep (because of neg rep abuse). Your rep is at 8, meaning it was either two jr vips or one long standing one. You can check what it was here:

ahh Jonny's that guy who beats up everyone in the room even if the guy who messed with him left and wasn't even a part of the group.

i think this is why they cut it out for regular members.
