Just to let all you guys out there know this kid Evil_SEO_Wizard is a scammer do not have anything to do with him.

He had me pay him upfront (stupid I know)for SEO work all i ever got in return was a report on my google rating for certain keywords using a free program i myself have!!! all the work he promised to do never got done he was paid to do the work also for backlinks.

Oh well live and learn still need a real SEO person to work on my site but not sure about trusting again site is rakebackmypoker.com if anyone has any interest.

Never pay upfront for SEO services. I learned it well. A lot of people are being scammed by the so called SEO specialists these days.

I paid the guy $300 up front for the first months work i paid via paypal i also have some chat history from msn listing some of the things he told me he would do this was all a while ago tho, I should have posted about him sooner,

The reason i have done this now is i looked at his profile and he seems to be on some other scam saying he is making 17k a month so i take it he is trying to con others

I'd use an escrow service or maybe set up a project through rentacoder where you deposit the cash but he dont get paid till the works done

A similar guy is around digital**point forums promoting on its signature he makes 17.000 usd per month so to me could be the same guy or one copying its method.

Still I wonder why hire a SEO specialist in a forum with no seo optimized well ranked site and no portfolio to show?

You can try and get your money back from Paypal, but most likely not. Scumbags hide behind the Paypal rules to rip people off. Paypal doesn't give refunds on intangibles like a service.

In the future, stay away from paypal unless you are getting a physical product. They have to prove they shipped it if you put up a dispute.

Maybe an escrow service would help protect you.

It's been 4 days, so I highly doubt it. Who knows though. there is always two sides to a story. Maybe he just hasn't seen this thread, but usually if they don't chime in with their side, they know they're wrong and just stay away and hope it all blows over.

I can certainly endorse Rent-A-Coder. It's a great way to outsource and the escrow service is handy.

This is coming from someone who has both bought and sold services on RaC.
