A question about eBay and e-Books!

Hi!

I have never tried to make money with ebay but i have an idea now and i started to make research. Well the first 2 minutes and i have problem. I was searching the informational products category and i saw that all the books that are for sell have "free CD shipping".

Well i am sure that they don't ship CDs, there is no way to sell an ebook for $1 and to ship it on CD any where in the world. So what is the trick how they sell their ebooks.

This is the seller's way of getting around ebizzle's relatively recent "no download" policy, which basically states that all products sold must either be tangible (on CD) or placed in the classified ads section of the site.

Sellers who are still listing informational products in the auction portion of the site are taking a pretty large risk. There is always the potential that you will get an asshole buyer who will report you if you fail to send him/her the information on CD. Also, there is always the chance that ebizzle will close your auction. Furthermore, the buyer may leave you negative feedback if they are displeased with your disregard of ebizzle's TOS.

The classified section of the site isn't necessarily such a bad thing. You can list your informational product, post external links to your sales page, get traffic for 30 days for a set fee based on price, etc. In addition, you don't have to worry about negative feedback because the classified section does not use the buyer/seller rating system.

Most of the items sold this way are so bad that once they've been downloaded the buyer won't want the CD. If he complains to the seller, the seller simply says "I sent it, didn't you get it?". The worst that can happen is bad feedback for non-delivery. But with eBay's gentle descent into the realms of being totally f*cking useless they won't have buyers or sellers soon to worry about.
