I haven't seen a difference yet.... It's only a 36 hours old. I suspect it will take some time for the engines to find and calculate my activity. The domain I used has just a few pages and is over 2 years old. Sort of just sitting there with maybe 6 scraper (not mine) backlinks to it. Daily visits have been 0-3 for over a year so any surge in traffic is going to be very obvious. The site is optimized but has never seen the love of a good engine...
Overall this should be interesting as I just added 400K urls to several copies of the program on several machines. Maybe we'll all find out if the rumor that you need to build stuff "slowly and naturally and have relevant links" is the pile of steamy stuff I think it is.

please help me understand things better about the function of prstorm. according to my understanding it sends hits to the sites with awstat and my sites url gets entered in there report which gives me a backlink. now if that is true then how is having 20 entries on a site would make a difference. I think it will make it more suspicious don't you think?

Hello all,
I have been a bit busy lately so here is the update. I"ve run through the 400K urls. It took roughly 3.5 days with multiple machines running parts of the database. Keep in mind this is a very fluid situation and I could get banned at any moment or trigger some type of penalty. Then again, maybe not...
The reason I tweaked the program to 20 hits is that my own stats and many that I've seen have a cutoff of 20 so I wanted to make sure I appeared in most if not all of the stat programs out there.
So here are the results of the first 26K run and possibly some of the 400K run (Remember, we just went from July to August so the statistic pages are now different or new). The original run is now around 6 days old.
Daily visitations went from "0-3" to "5-10" on day 2 and have remained stable. It's not a ton of change but it is a change. The 0-3 figure is a stable number for the past year. The lesser 2 of the big 3 engines seem to be sending some bots and a little properly targeted traffic. Yeah... Sending me visitors based on my keywords/content is something they should have been doing all along. Anyway...
Backlinks recognized by the engines:
Before I ran the program the more honest and accurate backlink site explorer had me at less than 7 "inlinks" which were scraper sites (Not mine). I now have just under 45. I assume this will grow over the next few weeks as the spiders do their thing. The big G had me at "0 backlinks" before and after the run. However, I now see keyword ranks in the wmt (positions 6-70) with a few clicks showing up (Might be a bot). I haven't seen a keyword rank for this domain in G in over a year. Something has definately changed. Almost forgot this one.... This site has been grey barred for a long time, it now has a white bar (on every page) and a 0 for a rank. Could just be a coincidence though as I really have no idea how old those scraper sites are or what their ranks are.
Overall I'm pleased at the progress. I have developed a technique that should provide some quantifiable results that can be applied to any industry. I will share the urls at some point plus a few personalized tweaks (if they actually work). I just need to see if this stuff is going to hold or if I"ve left a serious blood trail to my test site...
Stay tuned... I"m going to try some of these tweaks on a few other sites.

how you do it? i just got managed to get one of my set-up-in-1-hour-sites banned, i guess cause of PR Storm, although i used proxies. Where you get new proxy lists from? i use proxy vampire, free but slow like hell and not really finding that much (3 elite and 1 anonymous http proxys for 1 hour searching)
Another update...
It's been roughly 17 days since I ran prstorm on my test domain with 426,000 urls. Traffic to the site is now keyword targeted and google and yahoo are now showing backlinks. Traffic did increase from 0-3 to 8-15 and is now bouncing from 0-10 (It was a really nice weekend...). Google WMT is showing various keyword searches (about 10) but isn't displaying clicks. The searches have me ranked around the 50's-80's. Whcih seems like a penatly or sandbox but I can't be sure yet as I have seen many of my sites do this over the course of several years. Some of them come out of it and others stay in the 50-80 range with no clicks forever and the usual round of pleading to google.
I will say that there are some valuable gems in the rough with this program. It just takes some time to collect the results and manipulate them for future use. :scool:
Here is a tip for others looking at the program...
1. Don't add several urls from the same domain as referrers. This will cause the program to add all them at one time. I assumed that it would be random and when I looked up a backlink from a stat page there were several references to different pages on my domain on each stat page. In other words, run one referrer url or several urls from different domains.
As for the question above, I doubt this program got you banned in an hour. Also, I'm not running a proxy on this as I'm not promoting porn or anything like it. Plus there really isn't much an isp can do. If it ever came up I'd claim my computer is riddled with some type of virus and I need time to fix it.
All in all this program does what it's advertised to do. Whether or not it will shoot my site to the top is another question at this moment. Stay tuned for more updates...

Google is claiming 140+ links and continues to list around 6 longtail keywords ranking in the 50's - but no clicks. Yahoo and MSN are still sending a few clicks on targeted keywords. The daily traffic has leveled off to 5-8 per day. With such a small amount of new links, I doubt google penalized me. I will say that it's probably best to gather some other types of links when using this program.
My theory on the value of using this is that some of these pages start with no pr and gradually build it just like some of my public stats. I expect some type of boost during the next pr update will be in order.

- I ran the program and got 100's of backlinks.
- My traffic went from 0-3 to 5-8 visits a day
- I attracted lots of scrapers
- I spent 8 days of computing time and about 3 hours of human time
- I may have incurred a google penalty or maybe not...
- In the past I always noticed Yahoo listing more backlinks. As of today, Google is listing more backlinks while ignoring many of the scrapers that yahoo found. Not sure what to make of this yet...

I guess it would depend on the site. If you start pounding certain government servers, you'll probably attract some very unwanted attention. On the "higher hit" sites I visit them first to make sure I avoid the obvious.
I would imagine that as I hone the lists down to a reasonable size, I will have several files earmarked for 20 hits, 100 hits, 500 hits...
Of course that is based on the idea that this program actually does boost your ranks and doesn't get you banned/penalized...

Google reports 25 inbounds and yahoo reports 58 (these numbers are way off from the initial reports). Pr stands at 1 for every page (6 total). No other marketing has taken place except to say a few scraper sites grabbed some info and gave me a backlink. WMT lists about 4 keywords in the 35-85 range with no clicks.
So there you have it, this program is lame as a standalone tool. It does not get you banned from google or any of the others. I ran without proxies and never had an issue with my isp. It does get you backlinks but they do not seem to carry enough weight to matter for long or generate any significant traffic. I will say that the list of sites with logs gleened from the giant lists is sweet and does have uses but not in the way it's advertised.
My next attempt on this domain is to add different kinds of automated links from some of the more popular programs mentioned on this site. Xrumer targeting guestbooks is the first plan of action.
