Errr...no Daoleads, I think I'll pass...

Hey there,

I requested acces to the offers at DaoLeads and after a week or so I get this email back:

Good day,

I apologise for not getting in contact with you before now.
Thanks for the information provided. I have a few quick questions about the sources of your traffic.

Social network (Required Information):
1. Which social networks do you use to get traffic?
2. What method are you going to use to promote the offers (ads, fan pages, etc.)?

E-mail (Required Information):
1. Address of your website, type and category.
2. Kind of sources of traffic on site.
3. Temporary access to site statistics.
4. The estimated percentage distribution of traffic on the geographical origin.
5. URL to a page where users submit their e-mail addresses to be added to a mailing list.

PPC (Required Information):
1. Which PPC do you use to purchase traffic?
2. Temporary access to your accounts on PPC (username / password).
3. Temporary access to your accounts on Affiliate programs which you use (username / password).

If you have any intermediate sites (tds, landing pages, etc.), then you must include a screenshot of traffic statistics on your sites, google analytics is better. (with your username and ID on Daoleads).

Please treat with understanding. We must ensure that traffic "clean"and you are not trying to mislead us.

Now I understand that they have to screen their affiliates, but isn't this taking it abit to far? Or am I the only one who thinks it is quite unprofessional for them to be asking for passwords?

Either way, this put me off...

I'm sure they have a good reason for wanting your info, but that is a little too much. I was thinking of signing up with them and now I have changed my mind. Even if it is for a good reason, I don't want people snooping around in my accounts seeing my personal stuff. Not cool.
 
i personally work with daoleads. testing my methods out with them, and the only thing i did to get my account active was contact them via skype.
so, i would suggest talking to them on skype if you want to get your account active.

Hi everyone.

We indeed restricted our entry procedures recently at Daoleads.
And - yes, this was for a reason. Our recent expansion brought us into cooperation with top publishers there are in this world. I mean - really, the top guys. And they are completely obsessed with traffic quality. Any fraud or any other violation of policies of promotion causes turning off ALL traffic from us to such a publisher - sometimes upon just on single case of fraud or even suspicious traffic.
These guys dont bother listening to "oh, we'll fix that, we've turned that bad guy off, we'll take whatever chargebacks, lets keep on working" stuff.
They simply tell you - make sure bad traffic source just dont GET IN your network, prevent it-and if you are unable to control prevention, and you just clean things afterwards- this is not good enough.... we go somewhere else.

So that's the deal - simple and fair. We screen you thuroughly, and then we let you put your hands on some tasty stuff we got and feel very proud of offering to reliable partners.
That's the price of gettinf access to top offers, and we really believe it's adequate in terms of how nosy we are.

PS you can keep your home keys untouched)
 
^^^ Ya well...you seriously need to rethink your fraud protection system then. I would NEVER send my traffic to some upstart network that has the balls to try to ask for my PPC username and passwords.

Completely unprofessional...

To Daoleads

Please keep your TOP CPA OFFERS to yourself. I guess many of us don't need it. There are already TONS of CPA Network out there and much more bigger and longer establishment than DaoLeads.

My thoughts exactly to be honest. I do understand you have to screen your publishers thoroughly and that fraudsters can get a network in the shitter but you have to understand that this method puts alot of people off.

I really doubt anyone would comply with the requests stated in said mail...
 
@ Daoleads...Also, your little "fraud protection system" appears to be perfectly setup for you to steal your pubs PPC campaigns, LP's, keywords etc.

How convenient for you...
 
Howdy!

Many thanks for your comments and ideas - really, this is all appreciated and lets us adjust our system to fit your demands better.

Now I'll try to answer to your points

1) Requesting PPC accounts. This is an exception in the exception, really.
Here's why.

If you have your regular website, this is of course nothing to do with you and you'll be approved in 10-20 minutes once our manager will check your website and get proof you actually own it.
We surely ask for PPC info from those publishers who state they gonna bring traffic from PPC - and also it's not mandatory.
what we really check for - is that you are an adequate source, no 1day projects and that you have some valid background. So, If an applicant gives sufficient amount of info on where he's coming from, he's OK right away.
However, if our approval dept has any concerns or doubts with someone stating traffic source is PPC, then we ask to tell us more about it.
Again, normally we dont need access to the account, a simple screenshot from a well known system will answer the question at most of times.
All in all, this means 90 percent of all potential applicants will be approved avoiding any PPC screening. This is really working good for us and we are sure any webmaster with adequate traffic source and desire to WORK, not cheat - will always find it easy to get along with us.

2) Using this checks to cheat ourselves and grab info - well, this is really funny.
Firstly, we can pretty much spot the landings with a couple of clicks, if needed.
But WE DONT NEED IT, and we have no time for cheating, this is a more important fact.
We are busy working on a system that attracts people fair way and lets them make their money and sharing them with us. This work really leaves no time or desire to sneak here and there for bits of info in order to abuse it. Anyone with at least ANY experience with system larger than a 3 page site would clearly understand that.

Agreed ;) And especially MOST people do not wish to take risk their sensitive information and marketing methods.

There was a complaint and I explained what Daoleads is doing and why - hopes are someone would have some use of this info and will start good work and fair money collection along with us.

Let's get to the point ! This forum is called Blackhatworld for a reason! It is visited by some of the most dispicable, coniving, cheating, bottomfeeding and most successful marketers on the internet. We appreciate the fact that many networks are trying to appear-like they are trying to do the right thing, Daoleads, but many of us have lost thousands of dollars following the rules of so-called legit CPA networks. One day we were making lots of money with them, and the next day our accounts were frozen , banned or otherwise rendered useless by money-grabbing CPA network owners who didn't want to pay up. So, NO, I'm are not going to give you (nor my Mama) the Username/password to my successful website. And I'm not going to tell you all of my top secret ways of getting traffic to the site. This forum is called Blackhatworld, not Ship of Fools dot com!
 
Thanks for the thread, one more network to add to the "do not work with" list. What a fucking joke.
 
lol If daoleads is all about quality, why do they even bother explaining them self on a blackhat site? I thought this is the stuff you're trying to stay away from since your network is so hawt.
