to be perfectly honest - yes, but that doesn't mean that you can't sell the domain for what you are looking for

there was a guy on another forum that kept hammering his mediocre domain for close to a year and finally sold it for $5k (if I remember correctly), so as long as you find someone to pay you what you are asking, you are golden
