I just stumbled upon an excel spreadsheet showing CPAEMPIRE revenues here in the forum.

I was surprised to see that the most were coming from Ringtones websites.

I wonder if you know of any Ringtones site script to run your own membership!

It seems to be the hardest market to get in but there is also a lot of demand.

What's your thoughts?

just use a landing page and send traffic that way, its a hard market to get into with more and more regulations but still money to be made

Those ringtone companies license the content from the record labels.
You need to setup an account with an SMS/MMS company.
You need a dedicated shortcode.
You need software to interface with the SMS/MMS gateway.
You then need to get APPROVAL from the networks! AND They take a %!

It's old and outdated. It's just a list of their offers with amount paid to affiliates, amount paid from merchants and their cut.

I guess you are right, it is really hard and probably a huge investement too!

I though about the SMS gateways, and I checked online, there are a few that are pretty cheap.

The hardest part would be the legal aspect of the ringtone and how to process payments.

I guess this idea can go back to the closeth!

I setup a site that has SMS sending functions.. Basically reminder stuff. It uses an SMS gateway that costs 2 cents per message if you send over 100k messages/month.. I thought about ringtones but the greedy pig fucking providers want to get their stinky hands in the billing... They charge something like 20% IIRC. Sending an SMS text message is something completely different than sending a ring tone.

no scripts for ringtone sites as far I know I will suggest you go as an affiliate if you already have a marketing plan.

Ok... What are the laws on those old .midi files??

I don't know anything about ringtones or cell phones, but those midi files are a bit different than the original songs... Many would be awesome as ringtones, if legal to offer..

Really I haven't seen the files in years, but remember there being video game songs, and loads of other songs.
Sorry if midi songtypes are under the same laws and regulations as mps's ripped from a CD. lol
