Web 2.0 which to use?

Building layer 1 of a link wheel/pyramid with free high PR web 2.0 sites, 8 in this layer - blogspot,hubpages,yourjournal,jimbo,squidoo,weebly,wordpress,wikidot?!?

All linked to my main site with 2 or 3 links, not linked to each other.

Next thing im thinking of doing is mass linking these web 2.0s with forum/blog backlinks.

My question is, some of these web 2.0 sites in layer 1 have ads forced on them! Does that mean my juice is split between the links to my main and all the links to the ads? Am i better of using web 2.0 sites in my layer 1 that do not force ads or any other outward link other than to my main?

Are there any better web 2.0s than the ones i have in layer 1?

I don't believe there is any evidence to suggest the backlinks to ADs will make any difference. ANY Web 2.0 property is going to have links going to sites other than yours.....an advert or otherwise.

The obvious one your missing is EZineArticles which I'd be using in any such process.

Thanks Hamd01, ok i will not worry about ads etc Ezinearticles does not offer a free independent page does it? Just article subbmission which i will be using it for and lots of other article directories to link to all of the layer 1 web 2.0s

No. The theory that you divide outgoing "link juice" by the number of outbound links on a page to determine a links value is FALSE. its just one of those things that keeps getting spread around with no actual evidence to support it, but people keep telling it to each other solely cause they heard it from someone else and assumed it was true.

Thanks oinky222, thats a great list. Yeah good to hear about the juice, i will soon have my layer 1 web 2.0s ready. I have increased it to 12 high PR web 2.0 pages/blogs with 100% original content.
Before i start mass building links using forum/blogs pointing to this web 2.0 layer 1, is there anything else i could do to them? ie iv heard of rss feeds but no idea how they work or if effective?

Yes, of course it's bad.. Each Web 2.0 property MUST have unique good content in order to give your money site a good result.
Btw guys, making such type of "linkwheels" does not harm your SERP, lately? As far as I know google penalized a ton of sites with this plain linkwheels.
I'd rather try to interlink those web 2.0 random between them, and keep only 3 out of 12 to point directly to my money site including, at least, one article from Ezine. And after this process I will blast the s**t out of that properties with xrumer and scrapebox.
That's my 2 cents.

I thought the point was to NOT interlink the web 2.0 spokes and just link each to your main!?!
Then G does not see a wheel!?! Only 12 incoming links!?!

The only word you should have in your mind should be "random". As far as I know you will get more power by interlink them somehow instead of just pointing a lot of sites directly to your money site.

You will have only 3 links pointing directly to your site not 12. Also you can use social bookmarking sites like digg to point directly to your site. I am little bit tired right now, but maybe tommorow I'll try to make a small graphical representation of what I mean.

Also keep in mind to add content from time to time to your web 2.0 properties, that will make your properties look like they aren't just some spam spokes.

I have bookmarket my main in various social network and bookmarking sites but dont quite understand the trick there!?! All i get is 1 backlink yeah?

The question I have is what about your syndicated content? When you upload something to Ezine, it'll be found and spread far and wide. I've seen plenty of those links show up in Google webmaster tools. Those articles are EXACT copies of your Ezine article.

They SEEM to be giving link juice. Do you still get the juice from a link, even if the content is a dupe? How would Google know that it's your copy that you posted somewhere or something that's made the rounds via RSS?

If you really want to have great results maintain your first tier of sites with new content, I know it's a hard job, but the results are great.
But I still belive it's better to build random links between spokes excluding the first tier of sites.

I have original content on Layer 1 x 12 web 2.0, took a while writing it

Im going to interlink layer 2 because by my limited knowledge i think big G at the worst can only penalise 1 of the web 2.0s and not my main.

Could be completely wrong but thats what i have picked up so far.
