How to better monetize my sites.

I am relatively new to the forums here, but have been doing stuff for awhile now.

I have what I hope are a few pretty simple questions for people around here. And yes I have read a lot of the threads and gotten some ideas.

I have 126 auto blogs at this point. I made just over $3000 last month with them. This was almost ALL from ad sense. Combined, my blogs are getting about 630,000 page impressions a month on adsense.

Question 1, am I reaching any sort of limit with ad sense? What I mean is, should I spread the blogs over more than 1 account, or is that just myth? Right now its all on one account.

Question 2, I think the ad sense is pretty well optimized on the sites, but I want to add in some other monetization methods. Technically speaking I do have amazon products coming in from the auto blogging software, but that only made me $150 last month. What other ad networks or methods can I put onto these blogs that actually makes good money and wont interfere with ad sense? I put kontera and exitjunction on them 3 days ago, I have made $3.67 from that. In 3 days, with >80,000 traffic. I am unhappy with that return, so I want to remove those two and switch to something else. Those two work good with ad sense. So something similar, that actually performs?

Quetion 3, I actually have all of these in webmaster tools and analytics. I have for >8 months. I havent had any issues there, works great. I have read on here and in a few other places that people think it might be bad. Should I remove them from those services? Or is this just another myth?

ps: anyone wanting to know. my method is simple and the same as every other successful blogger. Keyword research (via market samurai,) domain finding using ScrapeBox, buy domain, setup wordpress, optimize site and start backlinking.

If you got to a certain point, easily and mostly on your own, wouldnt you believe that you are capable of a lot more?

And yes, "easily" is subjective. But most of what I do is pretty repetitive. So I consider it easy.

It took me 6 months to start seeing decent income with it. It wasnt until month 9 that I was seeing $100 days.

No, just had a new site approved today, thats 3 now - home improvement, lifestye and comedy niches.

Really depends on the individual site as there are different effective ways to monetize different niches.

You might have some success with CPA/Clickbank/CJ offers, especially if the sites are related to specific products or problems (ie weight loss, dating). It's just a case of testing - so probably a good idea to try a few on the more profitable sites and see how you do. Content gateways might also be effective if you have something really desirable (download links etc).

A quick way would be selling links on each site. If you have 126 blogs and sell 10 links @ $5 a month on each blog then that's over $5000 a month recurring for the portfolio. If blogs have some PR you might even get a bit more per link. Obviously selling 1260 links isn't easy, but you might find people who will buy in bulk or get someone to sell links on your behalf for commission.

Can't comment on the stage you should open a new Adsense account, but it's definitely good to diversify revenue sources as if your Adsense account got banned you would go from $3k p/m to $0 overnight.

Sounds like you've done a good job so far and shown that making money really doesn't need to be complicated if you make a plan and follow it.

Thanks for that response. I think selling links is actually probably a good next step. The niches are pretty random. Everything from software downloads to home improvement niches.

It's a bit of a nightmare selling links, but if you could find someone who wants to buy in bulk it might be worth your time.

I've been toying with CTR for a couple days. I think you are right. My CTR is <6 right now. I can only imagine doubling that. For the most part my domains are actually using a nearly default twentyten theme.

As a disclaimer, I don't do Adsense at all, but 6% sounds pretty low. I'm sure some of the more experienced members will be able to help you out here - or just Google "high CTR WP themes" and see what you can find. If you can optimise your CTR now, your earnings will increase exponentially as your traffic increases over time.

I would just do both of those for now. They will have the most significant short-term effect on your income. Template tweaking should only take a week with testing and you would have doubled your current income.

Not tried prosperent, but the reviews I've heard have been mixed.

Now that Kontera is on every site and has been there a few days, its actually up to the point of making $7/day. That isnt horrible. Nice little addition to the cashflow.
