OK, My review. This harvester could be better but it does have its uses, namely excellent character support. It doesn't compare to scrapebox but SB doesn't support characters well at all. The main problem is, this harvester is a lot slower and gets a lot less diverse results! For example, if I compare the same custom footprint + keywords entered in scrapebox, SB ends up with the correct URLs of the type that I am looking for and which should be harvested based on that footprint, while the Advanced URL harvester brings up a lot of non-relevant, useless stuff. I am scraping for pages with a specific footprint on-page, but this 'advanced' thing is bringing up a load of random root domains (WTF). You guys need to go and develop this more. The only reason I got it is because it could harvest UNICODE but nothing works with it. Now I gotta try and do loads of crazy stuff to my keyword lists to try and make them work with it. EDIT: I just fixed the issue, it was inconvenient but I got around it in the end.

Moreover, for some reason, I did a test harvesting the same keywords, no custom footprint this time, vs Scrapebox. The 'Advanced' URL harvester returns 3000 results but only 64 unique domains, SB returns 3000 results with 500 unique domains. You guys seriously need to go back to the lab and optimize this because if SB is $57, this is worth a lot less. I'm sorry to give such a bad review but I'm just being honest with you. A lot of people might be using this over SB and you should NOT unless you have got to harvest UNICODE like I do. Nonetheless, this little harvester has its uses. I think it's not overpriced, rather, scrapebox is under priced.

One good thing about the harvester is that it is VERY low on system resources, it's almost like nothing is running even on multi threads!

Hello Suraj,

Can you please help me. I bought 2 copies of your harvester to harvest UNICODE keywords, but on one license my computer crashes when I try to work it.

On the other computer, I can harvest about 5000 results before it freezes. If I use proxies, it freezes on the proxies, maybe when a proxy is dead it cannot rotate to a working proxy, or it just freezes and keeps going through keywords, but gives no more results. This is harvesting yahoo which does not ban / stop harvesting like google, so I know it must be the fault of the program.

There are so many faults in this damn program and at the moment it is completely useless to me. Can you please resolve these problems or give me a refund and perhaps direct me to a UNICODE scraper that actually WORKS.

I am one pissed off buyer. I need to f*king scrape, and this piece of junk looks like it was made in 2 hours by a bunch of bright sparks from digital point. Lord, please, save me from this hell! Is there ANYONE out there who can give a guy a decent UNICODE scraper??!

Harvester doesn't seem to be working for me. Google doesn't work at all. It just hangs at "Initializing Harvesting". Yahoo sometimes gets past that to the harvesting but then sticks. The only SE that seems to be working for me is Bing and it doesn't return enough results. Also, when I try to enter any keyword more complicated than a single word like 'keyword1' + 'keyword2', Bing hangs up too and doesn't return any results. I'm using fast proxies, but I get these same issues even w/o proxies. Any ideas what the problem could be?

This is EXACTLY what I am experiencing. This thing is f*king useless!!! They all just freaking stall, so what is the point, really?

The urls that are harvested are what you see when you do a regular manual search in Google. There isn't any magic way only get the desired results, the logic behind getting specific platform results is using a footprint, which by no means guarantee that all results will be of that specific platform.

EDIT: I just fixed the issue, it was inconvenient but I got around it in the end.

Good to know you sorted that one out.

I wouldn't comment on SB but my harvester shows the same results as when you do a regular search. Also, you can't judge if the harvested results are fine or not by checking the no of unique domains, instead you should compare the unique urls. Plus when your choose all 3 search engines, you are BOUND to get many similar results.

One good thing about the harvester is that it is VERY low on system resources, it's almost like nothing is running even on multi threads!

Thanks for that.

It crashes on your other computer because you need to install .net 4 before you can use the harvester.

What happens when you harvest without proxies? It shouldn't freeze at 5000, I've harvested millions of urls without it freezing. Also, did you try using private proxies? Using public proxies is always very unstable.

Can you please resolve these problems or give me a refund and perhaps direct me to a UNICODE scraper that actually WORKS.

There's no problem at all in giving a refund, we have a clear refund policy, just confirm me once and I'll give you a refund asap.

Suraj, thanks for your quick response. Yes, a refund would be the last resort but to be honest, I would just like to be able to harvest millions of URLs like you do.

Right now I can only harvest lists of MAXIMUM 50 keywords (yes, 50) before it freezes. Even with no proxies on yahoo (where scrapebox can scrape for days on end without stopping), it still freezes. I really just need a good unicode scraper.

What happens is, it seems to go pretty fast at the start, then it just stalls. Stops in its tracks. I honestly don't know what's taking it so long, if I use good private proxies or no proxies or public proxies it's still the same.

And the other computer version still crashes, now when I press harvest :(

Honestly, I can't say why it's freezing on yours, I've tried my best to make it not freeze/hang/crash. Anyways, It's not so easy to make a perfect software. My software does work on my machine and many of my customers have been using it and it's working perfectly fine for them. So it is possible this is a computer specific problem and I can't guarantee that I'll be able to make it run perfectly on yours. So I think it would be better to give a refund, which I've already done.

Hi Suraj, Thanks for the refund, but can I keep one of the softwares? I will pay you the 49$ of course. It's just how desperate I am for a unicode scraper, it goes very slow but maybe it will take 1 month to get the URLs I need, I would still wait. Thanks.

This is not because of a problem in the harvester, this is because it was never made to be used on windows 2008 server. I've only tested it on XP, Vista and 7, so I can only provide support for that. Still you may try installing .net 4, though I know it won't work as this has happened before with another customers too.

Please PM me your serial/paypal email ID so that i can reset your serial and you can then use it on another compatible computer.

Sure, you may keep one copy of advanced URL harvester. Kindly deposit $49 directly to my PayPal id and pm me the serial you are using.

Another question on the screen shot of the backlink pro, it says online 3 supported? But the thread it says many. Does that mean we ca have a mixed list or?

Do you have a percent of relative rate for the amount of comments that are marked as spam or that do not go through? Like for every 100 comments posted 5 are marked as spam or something along those lines.
