Is There a Way to Browse Pages?

Does anyone know of a way to browse fb pages? If I use the fb page browser I can't seem to browse by "service", "restaurants", "retail" or any of the other categories.

They all just come up as a blank page. I want to be able to browse through them all, especially based on criteria..

Is there a way to do this/can it be coded?

You can use the pages browser:

However, it doesn't really offer any search options.

My advice is to scrape it first (you will get about 6k US pages, the largest ones), and then check each page using the public graph API (graph.facebook.com/page_id) to find out number of likes, exact category etc.

Yeah, that's a good idea however the problem is I'm not looking for the most popular places. I want to compare it to regular businesses and have a type of directory. I though FB would have this by default but I guess they don't because then pages would get spammed like crazy.

You can use the graph search api to find pages using certain keywords.

Same problem i had shortly i solve that by adding all pages from a branch
Add all Pages to my Rss reader NetNewsWire

If you don't want to add all pages by hand just parse your subscription Page urls to get the Feed links and format it as OPML. (simple)

Don't know if it helps but as FB Filter the stream also for Pages at least i can see what is running how many updates ect on the other Pages without clicking them all.

FB PAGE RSS must be these format
/w_w_w_f_ac_e_b_o_o_k_com/feeds/page.php?format=atom10&id=XXXXXXXXX
