There's a lot of folks here that have followed the google maps cash system. A lot of you own scrape box too. Well, here is how I put the 2 together and got myself to number 1 in google maps.
First of all, people make a huge mistake by doing their google listing before they work on citations and whatnot. I, on the other hand have found it makes sense to do it backwards. I get my citations and then do my maps listing. See, when you do a maps listing google spiders the internet looking for references (citations) to your business. It looks way more legit to the maps ranking algorithm if they find something about you immediately. I am convinced it gives you way more credibility.
Here is what I do using scrapebox to get my business name around the web (so google finds it) aside from doing the normal citations. I scrape keywords related to my business, load my url's, and then I make generic comments containing my business name, address and phone number. No links to my site. These stick super easy since there is no link to get you banned in askimet.
Guess what!
Several of these comments I made a few months ago now show up in google as "reviews". So I know they are finding them. Plus, when I did it backwards like this I showed up in maps within a couple days.
So, in a nutshell: Do citations first, do a few scrapebox blasts, then do the maps listing.
This has been pretty effective for me on a few different "businesses". I probably shouldn't have posted it since it will get saturated. But, oh well. Merry Christmas!!
