I am opening a site that has lots of diffrent product areas all with natural traffic. All the advice is that you should focus on 2 or 3 keywords for any linkbuilding work.

Is this the right way as i feel i would be neglecting product areas. Is it better to focus a campaign on a specific keyword and have several running, each for a diffrent keyword?

All advice appreciated!!

its never good to over optimize a page so i like to stick to 1-2 keywords it also depends on the keywords maybe you can find a few keywords that are similar to fit on a page.

use as many keywords as possible, but 1 keyword per page.
BTW what is your niche?

its in exhibition stands and banners stands...but i want to pick up as much onine search traffic as possible

use googles adwords keyword tool and google wonder wheel to get the ideas for new keywords the google wonder wheel is the suggestions of other keywords you get on the bottom of the google page after a search.

Apologies if im being a little thick...but if i have 10 products in a category that are the same but the size is different, is it better that i focus a keyword per product page..eg not mention the other keywords in any other page? For every product there are about 3 or 4 decent traffic keywords.

Is this viable or does it lower the value of the site? Would th opposite of putting 2 -3 keywords in every product make for a stronger presence?

Thanks in advance
